Now that I think about it, Tamako Market references a little bit from French culture, I wonder what's the story behind that?
I also have a hunch that the flower(s) seen in the first episode and/or ED might play a major role later...

On a side note, it looks like the contents for volume 2 of the DVD/BD version has been announced.

Had plenty of laughs in episode 8. Most of them when Kanna is stuffing Dera into the birdhouse. And also the times when Kanna is implying something about ingredients (for cooking Dera :P).

I only realized when the teacher speak English to Choi that nobody ever question why she and the prince speak Japanese. Well, considering that this is a show with a talking bird, it's nothing surprising.

And I must repeat that the cut and classical music choice is great in this episode. Certainly a good Takemoto touch.

Both of those are fanart. The first two BD/DVD covers have been revealed and KyoAni/Pony Canyon have gone for a pink motif which neither of these pieces of fanart fit.
