Any anime/visual novel or manga centered around a gang leader of sort ?

Be it either male or female, though something with a gang leader, or at least very related to it. Regarding visual novels i only mean those that have an english patch.

My animelist:

Thank you in advance.

To be honest i'm not much into manga, so i would mainly wish for anime and visual novels, but i mentioned manga since i might like to keep an open mind.

Well, there's Sarai-ya Goyou, but it's set in the late Edo period.

Baccano! has a number of gangs, but it's set in Prohibition America. I think the same author's Durarara has some, too.

Black Lagoon is full of gangs from two-bit hoods through a bunch of battle-hardened ex-Soviet soldiers turned gangsters. The leader of "Hotel Moscow" is a cheroot-smoking woman in her thirties with horrible facial scars from being exposed to chemical weapons during her tour in Afghanistan. The last arc of the second season throws in the yakuza as well, and it has a most unusual gang leader. I'd give that a try first.

Maybe The Daughter of Twenty Faces is something for you.
It's about an orphan girl who is adopted by a master thief and his gang.

How about Oresama Teacher? is an ex-gang leader (girl) who was expelled from her school and has to transfer to another. It's a shoujo manga but you might want to check it out..

I'll second Nijuu Mensou no Musume ("Daughter of Twenty Faces") because of the overall quality of the show, though the focus is more on the "daughter" than on Nijuu Mensou himself. Fansubs are here. I think this is one of Hirano Aya's better performances. Her delivery of a key line at the end of episode three was impressive.

I agree that if you want a humorous take on gangs then Angel Dentetsu is a good choice.

For a manga maybe Holyland. While the main character is certainly not a gang leader, he does become an important person on the streets and many of the other people he interacts with could be considered leaders.

Well, you asked about anime and VNs mainly... But try JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Part 5: Vento Aureo. It's about Italian Mafia. (There willl be a long time till anime adaptation will come to this, but maybe it will be interesting to you anyway. Also, it was adaptated in quite good game).
