Those are running long jump records. Try the standing long jump. 3.71 meters, world record. She didn't take any steps before her initial jump, and her stumbling landing steps wouldn't really have done much to preserve her momentum.

Okay, admit it people: when Panzerlied came on, you all started clapping and stomping, right?

The student council was GLORIOUS this episode. Hetzer trolling ftw! And Maho finally wised up to them, lol.

Going to watch it again, but it's obvious that qualitatively, Ooarai has the advantage over Black Forest - especially since Black Forest can't adapt to the chaos the way Ooarai does.

Again. Hetzer trolling. XD

i know, i also dont expect any serious injuries though it looks too safe which is just ridiculous. though it part of the setting so one can just accept it.

the Maus does have some gaps in the turret but i dont think they'll get through. i hope when/if its taken out they go for the fuel tank.

did any tanks of ww2 have any secondary fuel tanks stored internally aside from the main ones mounted externally?

The Maus's main fuel tanks were internal, in the bow. The giant can on the back is a secondary tank. This notes it as a potential fire hazard, yes.

I might be mistaken about this, but I seem to recall that on the T-55 series of Cold War Soviet vehicles that their external fuel tanks were detachable.

True, not only does the Maus require Ooarai's victory, but it makes everyone feel good about it.

Regarding the Hippo's inglorious defeat...

I love the history team, but they're solidly in the "adorable antics" realm rather than the "awesome admiration" side of things like the student council team.

I've always seen them that way given their crazy paint scheme - really a bunch of military minds designing a tank by committee?

That said I do understand the frustration of not having your favs live up to expectations - Yukari's otaku-ness enders her to me and makes me continuously expect better performance from her, and the general meme of her as Miho's puppy annoys me to no end...

thnak you for the answer. i dont now if they could knock the tracks out in urban warfare (the lower third seems the best spot) but the secondary tank is an option. it'll be interesting if they avoid it or come with a way to defeat the flag and the maus.

The authors are being quite throughout in this show to make sure that we support the right side... KMM is not only morally wrong, they even take the extra mile to make sure KMM performs rather poorly (to prevent people like me who might sympathize with them solely for their performance). And (at least to me) they even drop enough hints beforehand that the watcher would realize the poor performance was there to begin with, not something added in at the last minute to force a win for the heroines. The excellent equipment is to explain how they were winning at all despite their Quality, while not making us give them any sympathy...

Miho's puppy or not, IIRC Yukari does put in a constantly satisfactory or better performance throughout the whole show with the Saunders infiltration being her top. In fact, her inability to pull herself out of otaku mode at seeing the Maus and recommending the correct action is probably the closest thing to a dip. This is something not many other teams can boast. I honestly don't see why her fans can be dissatisfied.

^ Looks like most won't be happy if Oorai doesn't win. And some of us will be unhappy if they do win.

People tend to like to root for the underdog, but for whatever reason Miho remains an unsympathetic character to me. I remember watching Rudy and the movie worked hard to make you like him, worked hard to convince you that whatever rewards he gets he truly has fought for and truly deserves .. somehow that feeling hasn't been conveyed to met in GuP with regards to Miho. Additionally, Maho herself has not been villanized and is calm and composed and not someone that has been set up for the audience to hate.

Maho has been cast as the mystery. We don't know what her motivation is really. It is Erika that has been villanized.

I think Maho is secretly supporting Miho & working against her mother.

Though I doubt she is the losing type.

Probably like Itachi fighting Sasuke in Naruto, lol. To Sasuke and anyone watching, it would look like an intense battle, with both fighters looking almost even, but Itachi obviously having an edge before "losing" when he died. (Then Sasuke learning it was all an act, Itachi having been able to kill him instantly at any time had he been truly serious, but had to make the fight seem as real as possible in order to push him into a corner, draw out Orochimaru, and whatnot.)

Still Maho's battlefield choices are not unreasonable, so I wonder how much of the roster was mommy's idea.
Maho might be unfazed, maybe not. We don't see her reaction. She definitely takes no effective countermeasures. For all we know her face is a mask while her mind might be a blank...

Spoiler for Maho's Error List might still have a few spoilers:

Like I said, I'm not picking her. She is doing about as well as I predicted she will just watching the PV, maybe even a little less for that last error in leadership.

Well ... OK, fine ... I think Miho is reasonably likable, but I guess she can't be all things to all people.

Is there nobody among the 32 or so characters in Oarai that you liked? Remember that Miho's wishes are also those people's wishes. Oarai team has a common goal and extremely high cohesion...

Since KMM clearly aren't even being the better players, do you really mean to tell us that you are happy for KMM to win because they have Maus and Jadgtiger?

Maho hasn't been villianized, but she hadn't been doing much that will make me want to give her the win, even if we ignore the problems of Oarai closing, or Shiho, or Erika.

Maho has been unfairly vilified due to her position as captain of an undefeated school, but deep down inside, I think we all know she cares for Miho, she just can't outright display it. Even if you think she does not deserve a win, you will have to at least put yourself in her shoes, understand her difficulties and appreciate her for what she is trying to do. If Lil' Army is of any indication, Maho chose to be the heir so Miho could live freely.

That being said though, I think, like RX pointed out, Maho is putting on an act to perform a good show. Nonetheless, I don't think she is the losing type. She will probably create a scenario where she can go against her sister, alone and at least give Miho somewhat of a fair chance.

Will she purposely lose at the end? I don't know, but stay tuned.

I think no one dislike Maho.

The "Hate" is more on Shiho, Erika and the name "Black forest"
