If F. Lucy didn't know she closed the gate then that means she didn't do it conscious or intentionally so something is definitely up.
That said...it's actually good to see that Mashima didn't do the whole "Two people from the future, one good and one bad." thing as Rogue simply seems to be trying everything possible to prevent the Bad End from happening, though his methods are...yea... |

Well, that was interesting... One of those cases where killing Hitler in the past before he grows up, you hope to prevent the horrors of WW2... only to have something even worse happen. Mashima is doing a good job showing that Time is not meant to be messed with lightly. He's setting it up well to show that time travel is not going to be the answer.
Future-Rogue is interesting since he's become an extremist. In order to prevent a bad future, he's willing to dirty his hands in the present. Even if he is right, Natsu and FT ain't gonna take that lying down. His attitudes toward Gajeel are still in doubt; interested to see his reasoning there. And we have a death, something FT has generally been light on. Although, to be fair, we were all pretty sure F-Lucy was gonna die. Still didn't see how she lost her arm, though. That's gotta be something they'll address. Man, every issue of FT answers questions, but gives us so much more, and really makes me want to know what happens next. The story is more interesting than the fights, unlike a typical shonen manga where what is in doubt is mainly just the fights. |
