The mecha seem decent and not sure on the music. The character designs though look like something out of an H rated doujin or something.

I liked the opening, and the new set of screenshots are amazing. Although to be honest, it is the least anticipated mecha show of the next season for me (I'm more intrigued by Valvrave followed by Gargantia) so I think the first episode will prove to be better than expected.

either you've just read too many H-doujins of Hisashi Hirai designed characters (SCry-ed, Infinite Ryvius, Gundam SEED, Fafner, etc.) or you've read too many H-mangas who try to imitate Hirai's artstyle.......

The latter is impossible since I never read manga. They still look like something you'd find on a doujin site though.

I didn't notice before, but wow, the mechs have some pretty generic names. Just a color and a number?

yeah! the opening is so cool! Finally they featured the opening song.

According to the article I've read...

Quote:
With the mecha anime Ginga Kikoutai: Majestic Prince coming early next month, the studio Dogakobo has aired a new trailer with sample high-speed action scenes and an excerpt of the opening song.

Majestic Prince is based on the manga of the same name by Rando Ayamine (GetBackers). The story is centered around genetically engineered teens called “Princes”, who are trained to pilot giant robots to defend humans from hostile aliens. The protagonist is one such Prince named Izuru who is assigned to Team Rabbit, a group of underdogs also known as the “Disappointing Five”. Take a look at Team Rabbit’s struggles, accompanied by
the rest can be viewed at http://sgcafe.com/2013/03/trailer-gi...-opening-song/

this should be another epic series for the majestic prince. What do you think?

Unlike the wildly creative "EVA-01"?

This show is looking the goods, I'm surprised @ the lack of hype for it around here and at other places, I know the Hisashi Hirai designs were a bummer but it's still a bit disappointing.

Well perhaps a bit overshadowed by the other two mecha shows this season. To be honest when I first looked at the designs I thought this was crap, but now the PV's got me mildly interested.

Of the few mecha shows debuting this season, this is the one I'm going to watch. Because I've heard it's going to be the most comedic one, and because it has Sentai actors in it.

It might be more comedic but that doesn't mean the tone won't change though, and considering this is locked in for two cour..

I don't think there's a lack of hype. I think it's just that the show doesn't have any super big names in the main cast, and people don't know much about it yet. The general impression of people who do follow it are pretty positive, and there's a fair amount of interest in Japan.

The show had a pre-screening event last night where they screened the first 4 episodes, and the impressions seem pretty good too. As expected the show is a mix of character comedy with a team of "losers" trying to work together and mostly failing, along with more "serious" mecha action scenes which look very cool with tons of motion and camerawork. Viewers said the comedy worked pretty well and it was funny.

I'm certainly looking forward to this the most out of the 3 mecha shows, but I hope all 3 of them are good in their own way!

I'm prepared for that eventuality.

I was also prepared for this one. CR acquires another mecha show.
