If anyone has an empirical source an Akane's age I'm all for seeing it~
It's been stated outside of the series, but I don't think they ever said it inside.

And yes, using the grade someone's in IS a perfectly good way to judge their age in anime. Quite often it's the best we'll get.

It's usually correct to within six months, thanks to the Japanese school year starting in April instead of January. It's only off if a character has jumped grades or got held back. In such cases, they'll usually say so in the show.

It certainly won't be something as impressive as a 45 degree shift or more. You don't seem to understand the concept of magnitude here.

Energy is not gained, but converted to another form which was the force which struck Rei's planet.
If energy is not gained, then what struck Rei's world will be no more powerful than what left Akane's world. Since the latter did not destroy the planet, the former could not have enough power to do so either.
Conversion is irrelevant, because conversion causes energy loss in the converted form. That would make what struck Rei's world weaker even if there was no energy loss in transit.

The way you have been arguing all this time is like saying that if you drop a pebble in a lake, the ripples will result in a tidal wave that will sweep the opposite shore. Do you know how ridiculous that is?

Yeah, giving you my opinions won't stop this so I'll just drop whatever facts I used to derive them and completely drop this. I won't explain them either, it'll just compel you to make another post.

Motion of orbiting objects and the force acting on them which causes the orbit.
Formation of a huge mass in space.

If you don't post whatever your understanding of the facts are, then we have no idea what your meaning is. Are you suggesting that centripetal force constantly increases energy of orbiting objects? (No, it does not.)

I can linkdrop a dozen wikipedia articles too. But what's the point if I can't say how they support my argument? Like justsomeguy said, don't make us guess what you want to say. We'll assume the worst, for you.
If you think your opinion is right, then defend it. If you back away without a conclusion, you will never be able to voice this opinion again without doubting its ability to stand on its own.
Fight back, find a logical argument I cannot assail and I will conceed. Alternately, you may choose to yield and accept that your opinion is untentable.
But if you simply leave now, you'll always be wondering if you could have turned me around.

A new person, maybe this won't be so bad.

I'm saying that without it, the object would move at whatever speed it was moving at in a straight line until a significant external force interacts with it (crashing into another planet or being sucked into another planet's gravitation field). Only the centripetal force needs to be overcome to launch a planet destroying asteroid, it does not have to experience a planet destroying force to give it the momentum needed as it is already moving high speeds around a planet.

Weakening the centripetal force can also throw it out of orbit slowly. With lesser centripetal force, it would deviate from its path which would result in the gravity of the planet weakening on it. Yes, the amount of centripetal force needed also decreases due to the radius getting bigger but there is a limit to the effective range of the gravity field. Once an object as deviated enough from its path such that gravity is no longer acting, the gravity of other planets cancel each other out or gets so weak that the centripetal force cannot sustain the circular movement, it gets launched at a tangent to the path or will slowly break free from the gravitational field and then travel in a straight line.

Since I made this response, I might as well...
@Jimmy C
That's your interpretation of my thought pattern. I'm perfectly fine with backing down once I'm tired of arguing with somebody, especially when insults start flying. I'm alright with people saying that I lose because I don't respond. Finally, I would love to use the time to do something I like rather than wondering about some person I met on the internet and will probably never meet in real life.

You still have not said how these things applied to your idea. Furthermore you're trying to apply phyiscs for material objects to energy phenomena. Energy emissions disperse over distance while physical objects retain their kinetic energy until they interact with other things.

And yet, you've been willing to keep this up for 4 days. Despite saying you want to back away from this, you keep coming back. You really don't want that last word on this?

I wasn't explaining to you any more after the countdown and am willing to give you the victory. Maybe everything has to be explicit for you to be satisfied.

I was wrong, dead wrong. My point was way off the mark and it led to a whole lot of mumbo jumbo from me which were beaten horribly by your sound logic. I admit utter and complete defeat and concede to you.

Many people in this thread say that VRO is an answer to Madoka Magica but IMHO the main source of inspiration is clearly Strike Witches:

1. The Alones are similar to the Neuroi (red-black color scheme, relentless, various forms, they regenerate unless their core is destroyed);
2. The girls are part of the military;
3. The girls are supported in battle by fighter jets and warships, but normal weapons are ineffective against the enemy;
4. Lots of fanservice with special focus on the girls' bottoms.

Also, technically the Vivid girls are not magical girls since they are powered by SCIENCE. However I can accept the inclusion of VRO in the magical girls genre since the underlying science is shaky at best.

As someone else said, VRO is more an attempt to answer Madoka Magica. It's the magical girl anime equivalent to the mostly forgotten super robot shows that aired between Evangellion and TTGL. I knew of two, Fafner and Dual: Parellel Trouble Adventures. I hear the former is getting a new movie soon, but how many remember the latter?
Remember, twelve years separate Eva from TTGL. We could be waiting for the TTGL equivalent of magical girl anime for a while.

VRO is Strike Witches crossed with Nanoha, with a light sprinkling of Madoka Magica.

Gohan already laid out the Strike Witches-esque part. The Nanoha-esque parts are...

1) The designs, powers, and attacks of most of the Vivids. Lots and lots of colorful beam spam.
2) Akane/Rei being very similar to Nanoha/Fate.
3) The main villain having a dark motif, an older female voice, and someone who likes harshly abusing the dark magical girl.

The Madoka Magica sprinkling are light touches of Mami Tomoe, Kyubey, and Homura inspiration here and there (Vivid Yellow, the Crow, and Rei respectively).

I don't think this was really intended as an 'answer' to PMMM. If it was, they went a really oblique direction from the original goal. It was very much a Nanoha/Strike Witches inspired work, rather than Madoka. Though, because of how important PMMM is to the genre as a whole (and as JimmyC implied, will be for a while), they couldn't just out-and-out ignore it either. So we had direct references ("Home run.") as well as design affectations. But I think those were secondary concerns to the staff.

I think they were really just trying to create a Magical Girl anime without pants.

I pretty much agree.

A true response to PMMM will be darker than VRO. A reconstruction can only be so "light", because it's tackling head-on the darker tones of the deconstruction its attempting to counter.

So, for example, a true response to PMMM would likely have characters very similar to Madoka and Sayaka... except this "Madoka" doesn't cry as much, and is more proactive; and this "Sayaka" doesn't break down as quickly, and soldiers through. But for the "character response" to work, the new "Madoka" and "Sayaka" will be put through situations as grueling as the originals were.

This is similar to how TTGL's Simon is a direct character-to-character response to NGE's Shinji Ikari.

Sounds like an anime adaptation of 50 Shades of Gray...

So powerful beings who didn't have a lick of common sense let's make the judge of whether the other world is responsible enough to have the Manifesto Engine.. If they fail the test we wipe out the entire world..

First of all if they have that power and the power to return the world than they should of just removed the engine and wiped the knowledge instead of destroying an entire world. Secondly they sure do not tend to care about other worlds either no monitoring of a run away berserk judge of other worlds that just was hell bent on destroying worlds no matter what the test success was. And last but not least no apology with sorry our creation went berserk and we are sorry it tried to wipe out your world when you proved yourself successful.

Reminds me of Q in Star Trek a young powerful entity that only cared about itself and nobody else and did not mind torturing others for it's enjoyment.

I finally managed to catch up with last two episode and I have to say it ended exactly how it began with completely over the top cheesy action powered by friendship.

So imagine my surprise when I see people complaining about a show that we all knew was going to be completely over the top cheesy action powered by friendship. Now I don't know if it's just me or not but I thought that we all knew this was a turn your brain off and enjoy the ride type of series from the start and could figure out how this was going to end.

That being said if anybody seriously thought it was going to end any other way that is your own fault over estimating a show about magical mecha girls...

Just realized the "other world" are basically "Gods" (Where's human's God now? LOL)

Probably wiped out by the other world already...

Anyways... it feels like this Manifesto Engine is basically a tool for "creation"

Since the girls are "powered" by the engine, and they can basically conjure something out of nothing through technology (yes, there's no magic in Vividred at all... it's all through technology)

Probably why the "other world" treats this with high expectation.
Since once figured out by the rest of the world like da stuff animal (yes, I forgot prof's name)
Humanity basically can than make anything out of nothing... basically Humanity can turn into the "other world" and become GODS.
