Building a system for a friend.

I put the following together for a friend who's looking for a gaming system.

http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16813130037

http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16820227210
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817703001

+ some swifttech cooling for the cpu and gpu.

Just wondering if there is any reason why any of these is a bad idea or if there is a better choice out there?

All this is within his budget. He said I had 1600 +- 100 to work with.

I have saved this image into my "WTF directory" just in case I ever wonder if it was only been a bad dream, and have removed it from the forum. Hopefully Lexander will never do this again!

You did your Homework... That system should kick some Serious butt...

Get a decent SATA II Hard Drive for it, and you're all set...

Well, you're only missing the network card, monitor, case, hard drive, disk drives, speakers, mouse, keyboard, mic, headphones, misc wires, and anything else I can't think of at the moment.

Not much of a problem if you gut your old computer I guess. But personally I wouldn't touch headphones or mice at less than $50.

The graphics card says 450 watt power supply minimum. Might want to get a bigger psu.

According to the Link that was posted, That's a 510W Sustained (650W Peak) PSU... Unless he's planning on adding a Multiple HD RAID Array, that should be MORE than adequate for the job...

As far as PSUs go, you can't get much better than PC Power&Cooling...

Don't bother with an X2 for gaming, get a Venice 3500+ and save that money for later. Get a Seasonic S12-600HT. The PCP&C is a GREAT supply but it runs HOT and is loud. The Seasonic is great and practically inaudible.
