Because Morga isn't in league with Al-Tharmen any more? This seems to be something Morga developed on his own and Morga had no interest in unleashing this black rukh weapon until he was pushed to the corner.

Obviously, becoming a conduit for black rukh has twisted his thinking more at this stage.

I know that. What I mean is once Morga has gone down why don't they go into the city and found out how he was able to make such black rukh and black djinns. Seeing how it not like Al Tharmen wouldn't have someone looking from a distance.

Chap. 185 is out. So that creepy thing finally appeared, Mogamett has been feeding him with people's black rukh, and apparently, he wants more..

What shocked me the most was how titus...died (?), I knew he was doomed but how he left...

Actually, I think it was the "thing" the furnace summoned that she called Father. It's probably the real boss of Al-tharmen.

I haven't been too interested yet since it's not very different from the one shot so far, but once they leave Baal I might start enjoying the spin-off more than the main series. I'm dying to find out more about Sinbad's travels.

Honestly, same here.

Titus' death managed to be both moving and creepy, which is an interesting combination and the chapter ends on one great cliffhanger, but the parts with Mogamett didn't impress me. I get that he was always an ambiguous vilain who started out loving everyone and that he was never beyond redemption, but to have him suddenly mention that he was happiest when he was helping non-magicians was really jarring after the last few chapters. All it took was a few words from Titus to pierce through years of disappointment, hatred and self-endoctrination? Really? Ah well. I wonder if next chapter Mogamett will do something heroic to try and keep Al Tharmen's "Father" where he is.

Basically, Titus is still afraid of dying since that means he won't be able to help everyone. However, Marga helps to convince him to do what is right. And so it seems that at the end of the chapter, Titus confronts Mogamett, who is still very much in his "goi genocide" stage......

marvelB Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005	^ Spoiler for Sinbad: He didn't go with him in the one-shot, so I doubt that's going to change in this version, either. In fact, I have the feeling that Yunan chooses to not involve himself in dungeon-related stuff (at least, not directly). Anyway, I find it interesting that we get a bit more focus on Dragul this chapter. That Partevia princess in particular actually seems to be one of the more decent people in the country's royalty/military. Wonder if she survives to the current timeline.....?
