Well both ND are over. Biggest surprise was probably that european Beat The Beat: Rhythm Paradise version will feature both English and Japanese audio tracks.

NoE just added a new video linked to Project Zero 2: Wii edition. The manual will have a special AR picture that unlocks something on the 3DS game Spirit Camera. The video was not part of today's Nintendo Direct, so some people will miss this news.
They have also made this announcement on twitter

Complete #SpiritCamera and unlock a surprise on the game manual cover of #ProjectZero 2: Wii Edition from 29th June. bit.ly/HVgTAN
Here is the link to today's ND stream, if you want to check it for yourselves.

The Wii U will allow you to buy new releases online and download them to your system.

Why is this a big deal? Because this makes me very optimistic that the Wii U will actually come with a decent sized hard drive. I was worried about the speculation of 8 GB of flash storage, but this is pretty much a guarantee that the Wii U will use big hard drives comparable to current models of PS3 and XBox 360.

It also means games rushed to release because afterwards they can be patched. Damn it, Nintendo.

Nintendo needs to get with the program on some things that Sony and MS offer. Yeah, that complaint can go to Sony and MS, too (the one you made), but Nintendo needs to offer big storage for the Wii U, and downloadable patches is fine. Devs rush things out and patch them later on every other platform anyway. If a game was buggy and needed a patch on Wii, you were out of luck. At least with Wii U, when devs are too lazy/rush things, at least we can patch games.

Not true. Super Paper Mario has a bug that could be triggered in a certain situation, and you could just swap your disc with a patched version of the game. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword also has a bug, and they solved that by making a channel available that can fix your save data.

The point is that without a lot of storage rushing things out in a buggy state isn't an option, so either the developer will be punished for being sloppy or they'll delay the game if necessary to release a solid build of the game. This has been one of the reasons that console games have been more solid in general until the current generation took over.

New Taiko game coming soon!
Read more on andriasang and famitsu.com
Quite a surprise, but the last game actually made it back into the top 40s in the last few weeks on the japanese sales charts. Games on nintendo seems to have good long term sales, probably reason why NB released another taiko game on the wii.

Nintendo is gonna cut some of its services for Wii but what does mean for my Miis? Do I still get to keep my Miis or even transfer them to the Wii U?
