Feed me threads

I realized I am mostly browsing the forum by User CP.
If it does not show up in my User CP it does not exist.
Too bad threads die eventually, so my resources of threads that matter twindle over time.

Do I now have to venture out into the forum, post in random threads that appear interesting, just to restock on reading items?

I say no!
That's what we got friends for.
Let me mooch off my friends registered threads, so I don't have to find them myself. Better yet if they can just recommend them to me.

Yes, a feature that lets you flag interesting threads (or posts?) to your friends!

Am I just incredibly lazy, or maybe a genius?

... Or just find one with an interesting title on the first 2 pages of a section.

It is true that AS forums are not really that good-looking to have the pleasure of searching through them, but in the end, you are here mostly to discuss series you have watched/are watching/will watch, which are not hard to find, right?

But...but I never do that.
Talking about a series I've watched. What's there to talk about? The series stands for itself. Unless it's bad, in which case I dropped it. But really, talking about a series... maybe in a way "what's going to happen next?", but I am always late for that.
After the fact however, it's hard to enter a thread when everyone watched it month ago.

Maybe that's the problem? Half the forum is off limits?

Well, I like to join threads early. Just barging in on page 25 feels inappropriate. I'd have to read up on the whole thread to make sure I don't repeat a point that was already settled.
And even then, I have something worthwhile to contribute, but there is a discussion going on and it has nothing to do with what's on my mind. Do I just ignore those guys?
Forum etiquette is hard.

However if I knew some friends were busy posting in there, I could join them, cause I know them a bit and well... it's that social media thing I guess.

Well, that is where is comes down to personal opinion, Dhomo.

Many people (especially otaku) simply love to chat hours and hours about the newest episode of the series they have watched. On the forums, they simply switch from chatting a lot to writing a lot. I might be wrong, but I think the AS forums exist for those kind/type.
