Skyrim and Witcher are two different games.
Skyrim is a sandbox game that thoroughly supports modding, as it makes the bread and butter of the game.
Witcher is more a story based game.
There were so many developers in the past that claim this whole open persistent world that keeps moving shit that I am tired of hearing it and find ti to just be completely gimmicky. For all I know, it can just be walking into a village where the default npc voice comment "oh, so you did this and that" or react in unison based on certain flags you may have triggered (a more realistic approach may be a village arguing over your world changing deeds, every village has their own set of morals, and you can win villagers over through other stuff you do such as local quests).

Take skyrim for example, you are THE dragonborn, archmage, guy who turned the tide of a war, etc etc, and people still don't really give a shit. Kicked a chicken? Straight to the jail you go dragonborn! Never mind that ancient dragon that is hovering in the skies where a dragonborn would come in reallllly handy.

Except that the Witcher is taking the open world route and said to even bigger than Skyrim. I'm confident that CD Projekt Red would be able to do this dynamic world where it changes depending on your choices. It's one of the game's specialty after all. Plus, if Witcher 3 would be more mod friendly then that would be amazing.

Well, I think I should't expect actual gameplay to be shown on stream... But new trailer showed Yennefer and Ciri so it was worth to watch.

No, Seed does not define what a Gundam show should be like.

Picking a Gundam over a Princess is not a bad idea, Princess+singing can get you killed

I spared Letho in the previous game, and he says we will never see him again. I hope that is not true because i like his character and that is because he is quite the chess player. He reminds me of Bane in some ways.

There is a lot of stuff that is going down in this game with the previous sub-plots and threads of the previous games.

Trailer looked fantastic. Could do without the "romance" hope it's optional.

Those grasslands tho.

Will the gameplay in this be as bad as Witcher 2? If so... I think I'm going have to pass.

I didn't find the combat bad. I find it good and was definitely better than the first game. With all the signs at your disposal from the start there is actually more tactics to use in the game albeit you'll continuously roll...a lot though..... CDPR release a combat rebalance for the game. While it fix the clunkyness and make the combat better, it makes the game a lot easier so that's the downside.

Hopefully, CDPR will finally fix this problem in this last game. We'll see a glimpse of the combat soon i hope.

I agree TW2 combat was better than the first game. In the first game Geralt feels too... tanky.

I like the combat rebalancing they have done: the shield sign was too strong before (to a point where it almost encourage brute forcing). There are still "some" balancing issues, but isn't "too bad". Potion spec with the mutagen bonus was really OP: not to mention stronger potions = easier boss fights in general.

Witcher 2 has far superior boss fights imo, maybe except for the end boss. My fav one would be the giant tentacle monster.

I notice Geralt is a lot heavier armored, I wonder if dark souls like weight mechanics would take place. (I remember reading an interview where the devs admit they made the game too much like Dark Souls)
