Fantastic news! Though why are some people around the internet treating it as a sad thing exactly?

Because they are probably living outside US and they won't be able to read this further?

What do you mean by "won't be able to read this further" exactly? I don't really order things online often, but are there restrictions in this case?

That would be price. For western Europe 8/10 euro is not much, but rest of the world is different story.

Honestly light novels aren't that big in North America. SAO and Accel World light novels probably won't get much in sales, unless GGO was released. Not many people care about AW as much as SAO.

Don't know anything much about GGO yet but is it one of the more popular story arcs in the series?

Wait. Let me get this straight. Yen Press will be releasing the light novel and manga serializations of these series in english? If that's the case, then that means all the novel translations done so far will be taken down!? Shit!

They did do the same thing with Haruhi and Bungaku Shoujo when they got licensed so it's likely.

People like the GGO story a lot more because I think the plot is a lot more linear, than episodic like short stories. Also, it does have large amounts of badassery.

We are now boned. Luckily I'm on my way to learning Kanji, but unfortunately I just started on Kanji. Will probably take me a year to start reading a page or something.

This is sad and yet great news at the same time.

Might pick it up if the price point is good.

Great because it goes to show how famous SAO has become but sad because Ill have to another site for the translations since Baka-Tsuki decided to take down the project. Im from Venezuela, I know nothing of kanji and by the time I order the last light novel by Amazon it will be 2022 if Im lucky!.

Same as when Haruhi was licensed. We'll soldier on. Price should be around 10 USD.

I'm interested in the cover design of American Edition...especially the font design of Title.

The last time I tried to order Zaregoto from Amazon I got region-locked, I just hope it won't be the same with SAO... (and importing is damn expensive, by the way)

Hmm, it would be nice if they took the same approach Crunchyroll has with some their in flight acquisitions, that is release the latest volume alongside releasing the first one. Would probably be too confusing to people though to see vol 1 and 13 out and nothing in between though.

I need to remind people that you cannot use this forum to discuss any way to acquire licensed material illegally, nor to discuss how to get raws or scanlations into other languages. This applies to threads, VM, PM, Social Groups, and anything else connected to the site. Only the content of the novels can be discussed, not where to find out/how to get it. Thanks for your understanding...
