[Bitcomet] Bad math or downloading too much?

Hi.

I have been using bitcomet for a while now and have recently noticed this. Sometimes when I download a torrent which lets say, is 170mbs, after downloading the torrents, bitcomet tells me that the total mbs I have downloaded for this torrent is 200mb+, not that can't be right considering the total mbs of the torrent is only 170mbs. Is anyone else having this problem?

Here's a screenie.

You have downloaded bad pieces. It's okay. (I think)

But it says that I have downloaded no rubbish data. This is annoying me a bit, I don't have the greatest internet connection is the world so every MBs I can download is important. Anyone else care to share their opinion?

I don't think bad pieces could account for a 109.92 mb difference. I'm thinking that might be the total amount you've downloaded, rather than what you've downloaded for just that torrent. Did you have other torrents running at the time?

Ah, gomen.

You have the 99% problem. () I think browsing through the Azureus FAQ can help you solve that ... I didn't watch the screenshot on my first reply.

Yeah, I usually download 2 torrents at a time, is it a bad idea?

No, there's nothing wrong with it, it's just that if you had more than one torrent running, total download could be global for all currently running torrents, which would explain the difference. If you only had one running, that explaination would be impossible.

I found this post on another forum which talks about the same issue for bitcomet. http://www.p2pforums.com/viewtopic.php?p=134861#134861

I know you're using BitComet, that much I can glean from the screenshot.

However, the Azureus FAQ is much more informative than the BitComet one.
