Azureus 2.4.0.1 Beta

I did a quick search on the forums for a topic with this info and came up without anything. I will therefore take a chance and post this info (on the assumption it hasn't been mentioned)

There is a beta build of azureus that uses encryption to bypass ISP port throttling and, believe it or not, actualy does result in faster download speeds.

You can download the necessary files here:

http://azureus.sourceforge.net/index_CVS.php

and some documentation on the encryption can be found here:

Does it have NAT traversal for ISPs that contain LAN and disallow any ports from even working? Can it bypass those ports? Just asking.

Actually Shadowlord, 2.4.0.0 stable has the encryption feature (although it is a bit buggy in the stable version, the betas correct it)

As for NAT Transversal it's not there.

I decided not to mention 2.4.0.0 because of its problems. I haveny encountered any problems so far with the beta stability or performance wise so I figured why not just bypass the release that isnt quite working.

As Shadowlord already said, the latest CVS can always be found here:
http://azureus.sourceforge.net/index_CVS.php

And a reminder: these are beta builds. Please don't use them unless you're willing to take the associated risks. Any problems you encounter while using them should be posted to the Azureus CVS forums (but naturally, first make sure you're using the latest beta to see if the problem still exists).
