K1-2: Hasegawa Kobato vs Tsutsukakushi Tsukiko

This match is a bit difficult to call. Both are quite strong and they probably aren't far apart in strength. I'd side with Kuroneko over Kobato so Kobato probably won't hit 55% on Tsukiko. Kobato really hasn't been challenged much. However, her narrow win over Uiharu held back by Last Order doesn't look that good. I still think Kobato will pull though but it'll be close.

Vote:
Tsutsukakushi Tsukiko

Prediction:
Hasegawa Kobato

124-68, Kyouko leading Sawa heading into the last three hours.

Sakura Kyouko 190->185
Okita Sawa 127->125

Kyouko won as expected. Not a ultra-curbstorming win but it's not really close either.

Kobato v. Tsukiko next round should be closer. Still going with Tsukiko.

You know, I think this tournament is now in Madoka Magica's hands. I guess some series like OreImo, GaruPan, Haganai won't be coming back next year.

- Kyouko doesn't even need 200 votes to win this match. Only a decent win this time instead of a PMMM blowout.

If either Kobato or Tsukiko want to convince themselves that they can at least get past Kyouko to the top 4, they would need a convincing win in the next match.

I would support the winner in the next round against Kyouko, but for now..... my main support today is still Kobato.

(I think the last 3 Oreimo episodes should be enough for one more appearance in 2014, but most likely they will be weaker next year.)

185-125... Wow, what a horribly low vote total at this juncture in the tournament. When even a Puella Magi can't hit 200 votes, you know J-SaiMoe is in decline.

All of the controversy caused by the mid-tournament rule changes, and all of the boredom caused by two fulls weeks of Repechage rounds, has had a real effect it seems.

I don't think it was the repechage's fault. Kyouko (Sakura) hit fewer votes than Madoka did in either repechage round she was in.

Let's blame the mid-tournament rule changes and what happened to Saki. Who I still believe did no wrong other than to be too strong.

(Btw is there anyone trying to clamour for a Kyouko-Kyouko final in 2ch?)

Yes, but in the Block C Finals, Kyouko managed way more votes than she did here.

I think two full weeks of Loser Rounds killed what little momentum J-SaiMoe had managed to regain.

Some sort of 2nd chance system is fine, but two full weeks of it was a very bad idea.

Easy expected win for Kyouko here. Sawa may have been able to score 47% on Watashi but she isn't even close to being able to stand up to Kyouko.

Wait until the Ayase vs Madoka match. I think the vote total will be higher from there. The first 2 days are low-key after all.

We're talking about the final stretch. Do or die time in one-on-one single elimination matches where each girl is only 4 wins away from winning it all.

None of it should be low-key.

You're probably right that Ayase vs. Madoka will attract many more voters than Kyouko vs. Sawa did, but that doesn't mean people shouldn't be displeased with only 310 total votes in a match at this juncture of the tournament.

Obviously,majority if not large part of voters in Saimoe consists of Saki faction. Now that even legitimate Saki voters have been ban, it also cause the number of votes to decrease.

Repechage playoff might make some voters get bored and move on with life with something else. It also possible that the admin is Madoka fan(the character) which is why he make this new repechage(in the middle of tournament right?) to give Madoka a chance to win Saimoe after being knock out while at the same time, eliminate Madoka's biggest threat Saki by rigging the votes.

How's Madoka movie 3? Madoka rating in Myanimelist is not doing as good as it's prequel though only a few people have watch and rate it.

Prediction- Tsukiko
Pick- Tsukiko
