Hi,

I've got a technical question regarding Bittorrent. I've downloaded a file and seeded until i've got an acceptable D/U ratio over 1.0. I've stopped my bittorrent client yesterday but i still receive connection requests from various peers.

My question is :

How long do we stay in the tracker peer list ?

In the tracker peer list you are typically removed the instant you stop.

In cases where you aren't, you are typically removed within 2 hours.

Other peers may cache your information for longer.

Are you using a clien with DHT enabled? I'm not familiar with how the DHT ("trackerless") network operates, but it's also possible that you're receiving requests originating through DHT activity and not the tracker itself.
