In Japan there is pretty much a ranking system for sales and popularity. In the case for manga they have system where a fan will send in a post card with their favorite series. The series with a low score are giving a warning by the publisher that if this continues they'll get axed. Jump is infamous for axing series that show potential, but they axe it anyway because its unpopular. They don't care if it sells well abroad because they aren't the ones who sell it. They let publishers of whatever country deal with it.

Monthly serializations are a coin toss. They made succeed, or they must just plainly fail and never have the serialization finish.

So Furuichi did officially contract with all of Behemoth. I thought Satan turned them to stone before they went through with it.

So the ending says "Please look forward to Tamura sensei's next w...What it's not done yet?" "He'll start a spinnoff series in Jump next! Which will begin in may, please look forward to it!"

So it looks like the people guessing that it will move to jump next may have been right. Unless it's something like Beelzebub II "Rise of the Demon King" ... that'd make me happy. Like Beel going to Ishiyama with his sister and Kota! but I guess we will see in may.

So it looks like Oga really did get his hands on a Gorgon Zora. If you guys don't remember, that dragon was what Hilda wanted to give to Beel as a Christmas present.

And now it's Oga's pet.

Baby Beel had no progression in how he looks. But now he can say two words. "Ai, Furuchin."

Oh right. The author is starting the Jump Next spin-off in May!

Edit: Ninja'd on making the spin-off announcement.

I do wonder if he'll only be working on that Beelzebub spin-off alone and no other manga. Considering that Jump NEXT is bi-monthly...

I hate spin-off series, I want it to stick with Oga :T

Why did Aoi had to change her hairstyle? that short hair looks like crap... bah, this chapter sucked.

Oga sister = short hair
Ringo = short hair
Aoi = short hair

It's probably a tradition after the leader graduates

I really hope it centers on Aoi. I really want her to get together with Oga, despite how unlikely that seems.
Also, bimonthly as in two times per month or every two months?

In all fairness, he probably would've looked like a younger Prince En.

According to Wikipedia, Jump Next comes out every two months.

...Yeah, wow. So it finally happened.

I love the characters of Beelzebub, but the plot's attempts to be dramatic continually fell short of my expectations. I paused my reading of Beelzebub around 30 chapters ago with the intention of resuming once I saw a sign that it was getting interesting again, and have been lightly spoiling myself checking sites like this thread periodically...

Despite having a love-hate relationship with Beelzebub overall, I think the author's really talented and I love his characters... it sounds like he wrapped up a lot of the character dynamic in this last chapter, but if the spin-off features a cast with potential (please let it be middle/high school Beel and the rest of the kids, please please please! my favorite characters!) I'll be all over it. And if he focuses on that potential, I'll keep it up with it even if I have a wait two months for each chapter.

So we still haven't seen the face of Beel's father(I think all I remember are his helmet & his crotch).

I hope the spinoff goes into the suppression of Kansai and destruction of Hokkaido that was mentioned, because it sounds like they've started taking over the entire country. Or did they happen in the manga and I forgot?
