Ah, Human Centipede reference. Disturbing movie. Never seen it and don't want to.

Yeah, I've never seen it, but what I've heard is enough to instill nightmares.

When the tape would get jammed and then unwind, you needed to wind it back up manually. One of the easiest ways to do it was to jam a pen through one of the holes and then start twisting. I assume that's what it's referencing.

Oh yeah, I forgot all about that. As I recall, I didn't have too many incidents where my cassettes would come unwind. Honestly, as a young person, I didn't listen to too many cassettes and owned hardly any. When I started to get into mainstream and popular music, it was in the 90s when I got my first portable CD player.

The face that cassette was around during my youth, I found that my tiny finger worked better than most of pen.

Same here. I don't think I ever really used a pen at all to manually rewind my tapes.

Yeah, my pinky was the only option for me (no pens near the cassette deck ). I came up with this dastardly idea to stick the tape into my vertical pinky finger, and whack the tape so that it will spin itself
