(this is my first fanart and my first dabble in the world of Photoshop so dont expect a masterpiece)

Well judging by the pic, you used a picture of a Wing Zero Custom model and then psped it, right?
I think you should work a bit on the beam ray, and see if you can find a few effects to add to it. You'd be amazed at the things you could do to it using PSP. Also you could add some masks to the image, so it doesn't look so "Model-kit"-like.

Besides that, nice model you got there =P Is that a MG or a PG? I don't know much about the GW models, though I have quite a few GS/D ones.

Prehaps you should trying taking the Laser Beam effects from the show. Personaly it looks like he is using the gun to bast off.

Its an Mg model and i'm working on the beam maybe i'll completely change his pose so it looks better

The second one is better, keep at it and it'll look a lot better. Also try searching for a lightning effect and try to apply it to the beam, so it looks more like the anime's.

The pose looks fine IMO.

Maybe you could Zoom out a little bit. So you can catch more the beam.

So the beam turns from this (((((((( to this ((========

you know how a muzzle flash is created from a rifle?

Same effect, except its a beam coming out've the barrel not a bullet.

I decied to try the same pose but its from a different angle looking right down the barrel of the cannon with the ground below. The blur should be the gundam flying up from the ground towards you

Its also quite a large file this time so don't be alarmed if it takes a moment or two to appear

I have to load it without the back ground then you'll just have to use your imagination

Just to remind you. there should be the ground spread out benath wing 0. Its meant to be night to explain the colours
