O_o

That is an INSANELY fast UL speed XD
I think mine usually sticks around 40k...I'm on a 700k LAN...behind a router so it screws with my trackers and the amount of people I can connect to >_< Nothing works ;_;

Haha, I'm a student at Purdue University and both of those speeds were recorded from the campus labs. Of course its not always that fast, but on a well-seeded file I usually download aroun 250KB/sec. I'm not sure exactly what type of server they run over here, and I'm too lazy to find out. If anyone is bored enough to find out you can probably search through this site:

If I had those kinda speeds, my HDD would have crashed by now ^^ lol
But how do you get the Anime from College to Home? Would cost hell of a lot in CD-R expenses..._

Well, I used to download at home as well as on campus, but at home the connection is a little slower (even though its on the same network), plus the freaking computer goons put a 1Gig D/L and U/L limit per 24 hour period. If you break the limit more than twice, the next time they remove your connection permanently, or at least until you get on your knees and beg and swear you'll never do it again But, about 12 days ago my hard drive decided it didn't like me anymore, and now I have to buy a new one. So for now I download on campus exclusively.

As for how I get files from campus home, I don't. My policy is I download something once, and I'll watch it, then I'll delete it. I don't use CDRWs for anything, anime, music, etc. That's what I consider real piracy, and I support anime by buying the DVDs when I get the $. I always watch something before I buy it, because I don't want to buy anything that I won't want to watch again. Next on my list is Gundam Seed and Hajime no Ippo

Wow cool. Why don't you try using an external harddrive and transfer via firewire? I like making VCDs and likes so I'm always equipped with CD-Rs.

Actually a friend of mine at school does just that. The bandwidth in his apartment sucks, so he comes to campus with his external USB hard drive and downloads to his hearts content while he does homework.

My download record, and my upload record is about 10-15 above that upload rate.

Edit: smaller image.
