Strange! Sorry, I set them to Unlisted to export from Final Cut, but I guess they still went to Private. All good now.

I'm just an amateur who's trying to figure out how to draw on the computer as a
hobby. So I don't really have any "Clientele".

Fair enough, I just meant that Illustrator is much more widely used. There's always the freedom of choice in this matter, but using a wider-base software means more support. Just a nice thing to consider. :3

This will take a me a few days to process. I'm playing around with Illustrator right now. It's challenging when you don't have a mental image of what you want or frustrating like you mentioned.

I found your explanation more useful in a half hour video than most of the tips they have.

It definitely will take time to get used to. Rest assured that epiphanic moments just sort of happen with Adobe stuff; you'll think you can't make anything good and be super critical, then one day you'll be flying through tools with ease and generally liking more stuff you make.

Always try new concepts and you'll get used to more with this stuff. "If it works, don't fix it", but having just one thing that works limits your creative repertoire.

Best of luck!

Thank you! I'd like to share some of my work with you when I'm done and possibly receive some feedback. You've been a great help.

No worries, just let me know if you want me to be my "designer feedback" self or "casual feedback" self when you do. :3

They say if you want to improve, the harshest critique is what helps you grow .

I worked on several rough copies the past the past few days before deciding on an idea and running with it. I'm liking the benefits of being able to use the same vector logo for all my PSD projects - my signature being one.

It's nothing too audacious. Just what you taught me so far.

Nice work, looks like you've been playing with the image trace option. With the image trace, if you pick a complex object to trace with a lot of different tones, it'll turn out sort of awkward. Overall, the one you picked did okay in the tracing process.

As for the actual logo itself, I don't know if this is occurring on your end, but the letters are seeping through the empty spaces in your trace. If it is occurring on your file, the remedy is to select the path surrounding the missing areas and just add a fill colour of your choosing.

Overall, it's a good start for sure. If you really want to tweak and remove any strange edges or blending, grab individual points in the fixing area and move them around. With enough tweaking, you can really get super detailed.

I need to adjust my monitor then. It's old and probably doesn't display colors correctly. I did a touch up recently someone commented about the colors I couldn't see.

But it's encouraging to hear everything .

Yup, deeper colours means better monitors. This rule isn't an all-ending absolute, but if you have an old monitor stuck on lower colour ranges, then you're just gonna see them. It's partially why I'll be shelling out for an iMac soon- those Thunderbolt displays are brilliant.

Keep it up, and let me know if there's something else you run across.
