Lots of fighting this time.
Was about time we got to see some action.
Still, it was bitter-sweet..
Flashbacks were well placed.
Guess the doves are stronger than expected.
Looks like it's not over yet!

If the big boss of the ghouls comes to fight, then the big boss of the investigators should come too. Honestly, the chapter was really good, but the last seconds were just amazing. Finally the stage has been settled for the one eyed owl(which should be pretty obvious to identify now imo).

Goddammit, this episode. I'm so happy Koma and Irimi are still alive. Yoshimura, though, was not so lucky.

Finally got around to watching the last two episodes and I have to say they were quite glorious to watch. The "last will and testament" scenes added even more brevity to what was clearly turning out to be a grave undertaking on the CCG's part. Being able to see everyone's different reactions added more depth to the situation.

The show can feel a bit jam packed and rushed at times, but when it does take it's time to slow down, it does a wonderful job. The scene between Nishio and Kaneki packed all of the emotions and then some from the manga. Much like the earlier scene between Shinohara and the manager. Tsukiyama showing up was still hilarious and sad. (He really loves his food, that puddle of tears, OMG. xD)

We finally got to see Koma isn't just all talk with his Devil Ape stuff. He and Irimi can really handle themselves. It's unfortunate, that there "penance" comes at such a cost. But, if they had never meet Yoshimura then they probably never would have been able to have the type of the lives they ended up having.

I'm looking forward to what happens next episode.

I really hope they've brought out their A team for the next episode. Our lord and savior deserves the best animation.

I honestly don't think that matters in the long run, just about everyone at Anteiku that isn't named Hinami is genuinely guilty of something or the other prior to them meeting Yoshimura.

That's not even mentioning the fact that they probably had ghoul customers that do eat people on a regular basis.

That ghouls and humans would probably prefer not to fight each but are inevitably forced to because one has no choice but to devour the other is pretty much one of the greatest tragedies of this series.

Agreed 100%. This also applies to the real world and our co-existence with each other and all life forms. Just by living, we have to take away someone elses' life and happiness. What a cruel, sad existence. The ghouls have been way more sympathetic than the humans in this show, especially Anteiku vs CGC. Part of that has to do with character development, of course. But there is definitely blood on both sides. As a human, the fact that a ghoul musteat my species in order to survive doesn't change the natural animosity between us. In the end, I could care less how sweet or kind you are.

Dumb question: Did Yoshimura's wife have to eat a human victim of Yoshimura in order to survive? Or was it already dead? Also, wasn't he still killing and eating humans while they were married? Not sure how to feel about her.

It is never mentioned, even in the manga, all we know is she had to become a cannibal in order to make sure their child could survive.

Honestly, while I like Yoshimura and Ukina, I think that's something I would rather not find out.

That said, now that you mention it, I can't help but think how utterly brilliant the relationship between Ukina and Yoshimura actually is. When you think about it, the whole thing is a scenario lifted out of a horror film and yet the author has managed to make it one of the most touching and powerful parts of the series.

Moving into the climax now...

We get Amon vs. White Haired Kaneki and One Eyed Owl on a rampage. Overall good episode in terms of action and storytelling. Some bits of the episode felt fast though with the execution. Looking forward to finale.

But still, Amon impresses me at how much he has improved~

Spoiler for plot:

Shinohara goes bye-bye saving Juzo.
Kaneki faces off Amon.
That sure was an interesting fight.
Juzo was kinda funny trying to deal damage to Owl with his last strength.
Arima makes an appearance.
He seems strong enough to take on the Owl.
Final episode should be a good one.
