Some really good Aya + Yoko time this episode.
I found it amusing that for the worrying Aya had for Yoko's studies and stuff, it looks like Yoko is doing a pretty good job of being a responsible big sister and taking care of and looking over her siblings.

As regards ep 9 it was more of the same ole enjoyable Kirara goodness. Honoka is an excellent companion to everyone, and once again shows she is definitely "thick as thieves" with Shino. ^^

After two weeks of building this episode up, the payoff was well worth it.
A few additional comments: -I take it either Karen or her father is a fan of the original Mobile Suit Gundam (or she's at least familiar with a certain quote from the show). -If only there was an "imagine spot" involving a blonde Yoko. Spoiler for Next Couple of Episodes:

Ep 10
Must admit that in the very beginning when the OP replacement song was playing in the background (complete with something that sounded suspiciouslylike a banjo) when they showed Karen trying to get through the train ticket turnstyle thingee while still wearing her inner tube/beach toy and getting stuck...I roared with laughter. If I had blinked I'd have missed it, but it was one of my favorite scenes in the episode.
