Burning SSA subs to DVD

Is there any program out there that can burn SSA or ASS subs to DVD whilst retaining their formatting (colors, font, positioning, etc)? Currently I have to convert them to SST which never seems to work correctly and doesn't look as good.

No. Subtitles on DVDs are stored not as text, but as "sub-pictures" which are overlaid onto the playing video by the player. Thus, to preserve formatting close to what they look like in the original SSA file, you'd need to tweak the settings used to generate the DVD sub-pictures. Even then you can't get the same results as SSA gets.
