No idea. ...anime-wise that is. (My overall game knowledge is practically zero.) Though I'd suppose even one with game knowledge, within the game would have to flat out state that they were one gender or the other. Unlike Mukuru in the anime, where one could say, "I don't see any balls!"

If Mukkuru is female I doubt she'd be behaving like that, unless she's confused about her own gender.

But one perhaps better argument for Mukkuru's gender being female lies in the last episode 8, when

Mukkuru is lying in the grass with the girls, like a mother feeding her own cubs.

As for the twins,

they're 100% male in the game, although Hakuoro is quite convinced they're female until he's told otherwise.

I think the twins are girls in the anime :O they have tails, but you don't often see them, in the game they are boys in the anime they are girls. Why did Genon do that :O

I laughed to that scene, after learning that they are males. But still, I'm not 100% sure.

Kyoto Animation changed the gender of the twins in FMP! The Second Raid, so just maybe...
