MKV sound problem.

I'm sure someone has had this problem before. I've tried searching but haven't found a solution yet.

I can play mkv files fine, except most mkv files i play have their volume like half of what i would be hearing if i played an avi file. I remember watching an mkv file once and the sound was fine, but that was a very rare occasion.

I'm using the K-lite stand codec pack, and i've installed the latest Matroska Splitter over it.

Urgh. Installing even MORE on top of K-Lite? Don't do that.

Uninstall K-Lite and the MKV splitter, then follow the A-suki playback guide or install CCCP.

Possibly interesting reading: http://www.cccp-project.net/wiki/index.php?title=K-Lite
