Too Many Pieces?

I've been downloading torrents for a while now, but only recently have I noted a change.

I use Azureus, and normally I would download no more than 10 pieces at a time, and would download at about 40-50 kb/s.

Now I have well over 150 pieces, and fluxuate between 1-10 kb/s. Sometimes it doesn't even reach 1 kb/s.

Is there a way to limit the number of pieces that Azureus works on at a time? And will this in any way effect my download rate?

Many thanks in advance for the help.

Actualy the client doesnt work with pieces, but with how many people you connect with. What effects how many pieces you download from is usually how many people you actively upload to.

should be an option to limit the number of peers you are connected to.

you can try stopping/pausing the torrent and reconnecting

as stated though, if your upload is 0 you will only get downloads when peers/other uploaders are available to give u pieces.

Thanks guys. I'll see how things go for now. Hopefully it's just a temporary thing, and it may correct itself. We'll see.
