Azureus - Mcafee Firewall, speed problem

I dont know why but i keep searching on google and on this forum and i can't find out how to open my ports or do something so i download faster. I've seen people downloading at 1mb/s, while im at 30kb/s. I read another topic here about the same problem but couldn't figure it out. I got high speed internet from sympatico. i got a speedstream modem, and win xp. Hope you guys can help me out and figure out how i can download faster. thank you.

SS of AZUREUS saying that nat and stuff is OKAY :

You have green smileys. Your ports are fine.

Mcafee is a very permissive firewall, no need to forward ports on that. NAT message is ok, so there's no problem there either.

What connection speed does your ISP says that you have?

from the looks of what you are downloading you probably got it off one of those bittorent search sites. they are usually very slow, it saves them bandwidth by having users do most of the uploading, and that saves them money. also remember your upload speed affects your download speed. upload at 10kb, u can expect to download at 8kb.

His upload seems ok, at least from the bottom status bar. He might have too many torrents open for his connection. If your upload is a total of 20kb/s, leave a total of only 2 torrents active (downloading or uploading).

100mbps??? That sounds like a LAN speed to me...

Well, for those torrents you have up, they should have yielded more than 15. I see you have limited your upload speed in a torrent. Limiting your upload speed will cap your download speed. Plus, if you want to download 1Mb/s (provided your connection supports it), must probably send out at least 100-200kb/s.

Oh yeah, run the configuration wizard and select your UPLOAD speed, just in case.

You should ask your ISP what's your upload bandwidth.

Has some good speed tests to test out. Report back with the numbers.
Though some might not be in your area, there should be an option to show all avalible testing sites.

Potatoe... I dont know about you... But Thats a common Practice.
So no matter where you go, the hosting sites wont upload for you.
They Host torrents! Thats it!
Its up to the torrents popularity and the people who seed it.
Of course some anime groups are nice to keep seeding some series, though thats out've love.
