I really like I've in general. They've released some of the best dance songs I've heard. Although I like Kotoko, she isn't my favorite; Mami Kawada's voice just soothes my soul for some reason..

I didn't even know who Kotoko was until I was A-Kon last month, and she's very good while live. Her voice is strong and loud and vibrant. The band members also did awesome jobs, the bass guitarist stood out to me the most.

But yeah, they are uber nice in person, which makes me like them even more. They let me take pics of them the 2nd day of autographs and they thought I was funny when I said "sugoi" out of no where, because well.. I don't look like a person that would know any japanese, haha.

Aaaaaa KOTOKO...
liked "Being" 2nd OP from Shakugan no Shana. It was really great. I haven't heard KOTOKO songs recently. Too hard to find in my library of 50 Gigs XD!

I think "Agony" is one of her best songs as well. Though she is one of my favorite jpop singers, I still don't think her singing talents reach those of Yamamoto Sayaka, Mami Kawada or Utada Hikaru.

KOTOKO rocks! I've liked her ever since I first heard the OP/ED to Onegai Teacher. Two months ago, I managed to see her live at CN Anime and even got her to autograph a CD. It was pretty awesome. I still think she sounds better not live though, because when she's live they add in all this heavy guitar and so on that makes it sound almost industrial/goth instead of the techno-dance that I'm used to.

I wrote about it on my blog:
http://www.animeslice.com/archives/2006/06/01/232/

Just wondering... what's "I've"? Is this some techo-band that KOTOKO and others are involved in? What have they done? I seem to remember seeing the name I've before somewhere...

I've is this grouo Kotoko forms part, it started with Kazuya Takaze (a.k.a FTK, WORMWORLD), and has only female singers like KOTOKO, Mell, eiko, Momo, Shiho, Kaori, etc...
You can check the wikipedia article for more info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I've_Sound

I though the Kannaduki Op/ED were pretty rad! That's about all I know, I have to watch Shana, I supposed.

I'm just always kind of amazed when that much volume comes out of such a small package. She can really throw a note when she wants to.

I've has made songs with male vocals before, the most famous of which is probably Welcome to Heaven by C.G Mix, the theme song for the BL game, Gakuen Heaven.

Well, i found this:

I'veクリエイター陣によるユニット。
曲によって演奏するクリエイターが違う。
たとえば 「Leave me hell alone」 では
Gu:高瀬一矢/Drum:COWPOKES/Bass:板垣直樹/Vo:KOTOKO となっている

The unit due to I've chestnut thornback tar position. The chestnut thornback tar which is performed with tune is different. For example with “Leave me hell alone” Gu: Kazuya Takase /Drum: COWPOKES/Bass: Naoki Itagaki /Vo: It has become KOTOKO

er...i know i have bad english...so plz go easy on me...but i think that is directly translated from the jap? ....cuz the english makes no sense to me at all ^^;

if someone can 'rephase' them with more 'simplier' and easier understanding english...plz do...

i m guessing right now that: before KOTOKO get to be 'solo', they were a band from I've....and the band is called outer...and since the band outer was 'decomposed', therefore KOTOKO is now here~

OR...just simply....the main vocal in the band outer is KOTOKO...

someone plz help me...i cant translate jap ^^;
