I just got new dsl today, and i use BURST! torrent as my client. But, burst is taking all my bandwidth away, but only giveing me half the speed. My line is capable of 160KBS+, but its only transfering 80KBS max, but everything is slowed down and i dont have access to that extra 80 KBs for surfing.

is there some sort of tweaking i need to do? my upload is weak, its only 128k, and burst torrents makes you upload at least 10KBS per file, i cant go any lower. thats where i think the problem is.

Yea, uploading really cuts down your download speed, I'd sugest getting Shad0ws's Expirimental client at http://bt.degreez.net, you can adjust the upload speed down to 3KB/s.
