It seems that Bandai snuck in something into Tekken: Dark Resurrection...

This may not sound related but check this out:

If you look in the background, there are Colonies...I wonder if there are any customized items that are gundam related in the game. I found the Prince from Katamari for a head item.

It wouldn't be the first time. They do that occassionally.

A designer for Square/Enix stuck an Evangelion plug suit in FFVII once.

In FFXII, there were 'obvious' dragonball references.

Besides, now you get to see Solid Snake in Super-Smash Bros.

Or...it could be just that Namco took some of the Original NASA designs for a colony?

NASA did have them before Gundam was around.

Uh actually, he did. These designs predate our beloved Tomino's ":Kidou Senshi Gundam" by a couple years.

Only real Gundam fans know this though.

I don't think it was that obvious. Since it relates to only one small part of XII.

What's EXTREMELY obvious is XII = Star Wars rip-off.

Yeah, except I was fighting Brolly at the end, and he always uses the JUBEI-KAMEHAMEHA~ on me... ugh.

I finished the entire game already and I didn't notice any SW references you were talking about. Unless you think Vaan is Luke Skywalker (and others fitting the role of Han Solo... Chewwie... etc.) but thats a bit of a stretch...

The CG movies = Starwars + LOTR

I still the love the movies and the game itself though lol

Well, if you referring to the 'scale' of FFXII's CGs and that huge army fight during the opening scenes? Well, they did that in FFX already. Even earlier still, you see something like that in FFVIII.

"Wait, what? Where/when was this in the game? @_@"

You supposedly find that when you want Cloud to cross-dress in one of the dressing rooms.

Ah, but we are getting way off topic...

Sand People, Air Warfare that seems SO Star Warish, Rebels, Judges aka People in Vaderish Suits, Force Ghost, etc.

The 'Power' = The Force? I dunno, but to me, it seems VERY Star Warish.

I personally don't see how these 'Nomads' in FFXII compare to the Sand People

Air battles/flying airships are a stable in Japanese pop culture. Its nothing new. So far I've not seen any major atmospheric battles in SW.

Rebels? Uh...

Judges? Behaving like Vader? That is a major stretch. Its not the first time we see people in armor.

Ghosts are one of the oldest superstition known to men. Its nothing new at all.

The power? Most FF games deal with a mysterious power source of somewhat, this is aboslutely nothing new to FFXII.

That and Lucas himself admitted to have taken major inspirations from a Kurosawa film titled 'Hidden Fortress' when he made Star Wars.

If you think you see Star Wars in FFXII, more power to ya. I respect your opinion, but I can't say I agree.

There's the dropships they bring into the capital, the line up of soldiers outside of the palace which is reminiscent of the final scene in episode 1, the judges, the bangaa that is basically Watto (forgot his name), the fact that Rabanastre is pretty much Mos Eisley...

(shakes head in frutstratin)

You mean to tell me that theyNEVER told you about Gerald O'Neill and his colony theories in Elementary Science classes? Why do you think they're referred to as "O'Neill Type" colonies in almost every Gundam series to date?

I fear for the world's educational system.
