Thumbs up

Kamisama Kazoku is finally over. This truly was one of those better animes in 06. Yeah we might argue there were better romantic/comedy anime which came out in 06. But Kamisama Kazoku has a special place in my heart

I don’t know is it just me or the rest of you, at one point of time we all have felt like Tenko in our lives. This was one of those few animes which made us really feel for the characters. It wasn’t all mushy and lovey-dovey ... it was a light hearted comedy from the word go with lot of heartbreak thrown in.

My favorite episode has to be episode 4 when Sam desires to be a mortal and gets to be , that’s when he realizes the importance of Tenko . MTenko ( ShopKeeper/Nee chan / Tenko with lost Memmories ) in that episode her flashbacks and back-story were really something sweet and touching . I am so in love with that ' Music box Tune ' anyone knows who the artist is and the track name also ..??. That tune always reminds me of Tenko’s Heart Breaks, Love and Despair.

Also big thanks to Kamisabu Fansubs, for reviving and subbing a Semi-dead project. Great Job keep up the Good Work

...so what are the chances of a second season? The show seemed to have wrapped up all the loose ends pretty nicely but the novels seem to be ongoing. Also, the game seems to have had a female character that never made it on the show, so maybe thiers enouph material for a second season?

Thanks very much for the fabsubbing of this series.

Verrrry interesting ending where we find out that:

Spoiler:

Cool series. And nice that they found a place for someone who
I thought might be consigned to oblivion.

Haha. Yes. I was initially confused the first time I watched it. I wasn't quite sure what "the secret" was. Good stuff. I must say Samatarou's got it good

I'd expect this would be the first and the last project of Kamisabu, sadly. However, I am really thankful for everything you have done just that this project be completed.

Samatarou's one lucky bastard; he has two sisters ... *LUSTING* for him.

Well, that was a great ending to a good show, IMO. ^^

I like how Kumiko looked with the pink eyes - she looked prettier.

So gods and goddesses have blue/violet eyes, angels have pink ones, and devils have red-yellow ones.

I just wanted to add my own "thank you!" to Chikushou for hanging in there and completing the subs for Kamisama Kazoku. This was a fun and entertaining little series that managed to include a little drama without ever making the mistake of taking itself to seriously. And Tenko is simple too adorable for words - she easily makes it onto my list of favorite characters from this year.

It was good.

First of all i tought the show was the shit until the last episode.

Tenko is a whore,
Kumiko is the bomb,
and the show left me wanting more

I wasn't exactly satisfied with the ending. I meant the last episode showed me only the following thing: Gods are complete pussies.

I wanted a battle scene where Sam just rips Fumiko apart. "My weapon is persuasion." ....... wtf?!? I wanted him to get like pissed off and kick some ass, but in the end it didn't happen. A good anime to distract you in between shows.

As for the song lyrics, I'm afraid to even look at them again. When I did the OP/ED for this, it was largely guesswork (and what I did in episode 1 was not even a translation!). It's very hard for me to understand song lyrics, even in English sometimes. I usually don't even bother with song translations until I have the official lyrics -- which aren't always even accurate. Every time I have to rewatch the OP/ED to check to make sure the timing adjustment wasn't a disaster I cringe a little. I know there are plenty of mistakes. Just can't be arsed to find them all.
Thank you for subbing this little gem.

The pink ones look so out of place on her though. She looked much more naturally beautiful with her old ones.

There are subs but you need to turn them on - in software such as
VLC all you need to do is go under the video menu and turn the
english subs on.

Otherwise they don't appear. Not sure what you're viewing your
files with but that's how it works in VLC.

Yes. 9 and 10's script are basically done but the timer is really slacking.

Don't use BS Player then. If you read the CCCP FAQ, that's among the worst players you could choose in playing anime files.

Echoed - thanks for finishing this one. I thought the subbing job was excellent, on the whole.

This is one of those shows I enjoyed more than I maybe should have, given that I can't necessarily quantify why I did. It's just a generally pleasing piece of work that makes me smile, like a lesser version of Petopeto-san. I ended up liking all the characters, even the family members who I at first thought were merely annoying distractions. I think Sam got something of a bum rap - a terrific lead, IMO and a perfect foil for Tenko. There ended up being more to this than I expected, in several ways.
