Matroska Help

Ok, I've been to the Media Guide thread and did exactly what it said. But it didn't work, I still can't get .mkv files to work. I was before when I was using win2k, but I recently moved to winXP, and now I can't get .mkv files to work.

Like back when I was using win2k, I use mplayer2.

Someone please help

wmp isn't necessarily the best program to watch mkvs on. I use Videolan for watching mkvs, it's free: http://www.videolan.org/.

Thanks Babbito2k for your reply, but I just got matroska to work.
Apparently the vsfilter that was included in the Matroska pack from matroksa.org isn't he same that was on the media guide thread. I though it was, so I considered it to already have been installed.

Oh and I gave Videolan a try, and I still find mplayer2 to be the best for me. Videolan wouldn't display unicode subtitles properly.
