That's supposed to convert anything. I've only tried it on youtube files with lackluster results.

Hehe... Most YouTube files are "lackluster" to begin with... (Garbage IN -> Garbage OUT.)

First of all, let me teach you how to tell the file extension of a file.

Click Tools -> Folder Options -> View Tab -> Uncheck Hide Extension for known file types.

Then click apply or ok.

Then post the complete filename with extension

eg. file1.mp3 wherein mp3 is the extension.

I am sorry but I just have to say this...

I typed in the word "baragokuotome" (which means 薔薇獄乙女 ) into Google, click on the first link that showed up (RapidShare), and downloaded the file.

You may want to read the README.RTF file that comes with the ZIP file.
Turns out it is the op sequence for Rozen Maiden Overture encoded in PSP .MP4 format/aspect.

If that's the case, you can use any encoder you want to change from h264 to xvid/divx/whatever you want.

SUPER is a good choice- it is not the most stable software you will ever use, however.

You don't have to re-encode the file though, you just need a h264 codec (like quicktime or K-lite codec pack).

It means turn off that option to have Windows actually show the file extensions of ALL files. Right now it's clear Explorer is cuting off the .MP4 extension (as well as the .RTF extension) based on the screenshot you posted. This makes it hard to see what kind of file it is.
