This just isn't enough info for us to guess what the problem may be. Please follow the [READ ME FIRST] How do I get this fansub to play? recommendations and report back here with the more info (as the thread suggests).

The files I'm trying to play are AF-F&Y-F fansubs. Like the one before for example.
[AF-F&Y-F]_Kemonozume_-_01_(1280x720)_(H264)_[F03C36F0].mkv I've tried Window Media, BSPlayer, and VLC none seem to work. Codec Packet I use is the CCCP latest version. And I'll try explain this in best detail as possible. Ok, on BSPlayer for example I push the arrow, select the file, and than it shows me a black screen. After a while (and me mashing buttons frantically) it comes up with a Windows Error box. Than I'm forced to restart my computer cause the resolution and colorings just all messed. I thought this would be a somewhat common problem but I guess not :P I tried to search before filing this and I thought maybe just people resolved it themselves and I'm just dumb :P |

What happens when you DON'T play the file in BSPlayer? Since BSP is quite known for being a crappy player, and not really recommended around here. Neither are WMP or VLC. For example use the MPC/ZP that come with your CCCP install.
Also grab the CCCP Insurgent tool (CCCPI) and do a 'Test Render' on one of the files which will not play. Also do a File->Save Log and post that info here. |

I think it has something to do with my system.
Because during the "Black Screen" I can hear them talking/background music etc. And after it comes back (at this point my resolution and coloring is all messed up and I have to restart to get it normal) I get an error message from windows along these lines (not sure exactly) Windows has detected and recovered from a device failure. Please reboot to restore full functionality. I have both K-Lite and CCCP installed could that be it? Tried basically every player known to man including CCCP Players. I'm not to sure on my system specs cause well..I suck with computers. |

Uninstall K-Lite and CCCP. Then restart your computer.
Then reinstall the latest CCCP. Reset settings when asked to. Test file in one of the included CCCP players and report back on how it went.

http://www.cccp-project.net/download.php?type=cccpi After you get it, open it and go to Tools --> Test Render. Pick the HD file that is giving you this trouble. After it is done click on OK. Then go to File --> Save Log. Open that log when it's done and post the entire contents on the forum here in spoiler tags if possible.

A note on the K-Lite codec pack:
It loads a LOT of stuff on your system. It's a LOT of stuff you may not even need. The CCCP puts only what is needed and nothing more (unless YOU put it on). Plus it's highly likely that even the items within K-Lite will fight with each other, never mind any other packages you may install. So basically, one word of advice if you're considering installing K-Lite: Don't. No, really. Don't. --Ian. |

Posting this in my really crappy resolution/coloring mode cause the render did the same thing. Luckily I got the log.
