Fixing .rm files?

I have some ollllld fansub .rms and I love them but the fansubber stopped subbing and I can't get them as .avis or anything. The quality is reeeeally bad. So I'm asking if it's possible to make an .rm file look good?

Any kind of answer would be much appreciated!

Quick answer: no.

Slightly longer answer: no, because you can't readd stuff that was lost in the compression with a lossy codec. Information was removed and you can't magically find it again.

*sigh* I see....oh well I guess the only thing to do is get the raw avis and copy my fave fansubber's scripts and sub them myself.

YES, I am crazy enough to do that. xD
