this is kinda special one (except for the stock footage) they added a new dialogue with Haruhi and Kyon
As I said in the comment section for that video, I'm blown away by how much they charge for a single episode DVD over there.

Well, in general, the LE DVDs have included an OST/Radio CD (only way to get the OST on CD), postcards, sticker sheets, and the special cover. The way I see is it is that if you're already spending that much money, what's an extra 1000 yen to get the extras?

It costs very little to reproduce DVDs and most of the frivolity they add --- its all about the "price point" for the local market (how costly before the consumers gack). In Japan, the otaku have demonstrated that they're willing to bend over a lot more than, say, American or European markets. The damned region codes assist in this kind of market balkanization as well.
Okay, on the other hand --- supposedly the video encode quality of the 1 and 2 episode DVDs is much higher than the 4 to 6 episode DVDs released in Region 1. If they would subtitle the Japanese releases, I'd probably be inclined to buy them rather than wait for the R1 release, but for me anime is a family and social thing that involves a lot of non-japanese speakers so subtitles are essential.

hey there was a post early saying that the calendar was no longer available at kyoani's site, probably coz its sold out. i was kinda worried coz i ordered mine (via cresent shop) a few days before that, what if they had taken my money and then find out that it was sold out. but then a few days ago i got an email which said they recieved it and dispatched right away, so it should be on its way. does this mean it was probably me who took the last one?

oh crap i shouldnt have posted this, now im gonna get murdered

^ Nope, just sometime in Feb. No figure has exact release dates as a lot of the time they get re-scheduled or whatnot. My guess probably somewhere in the middle of Feb. *shrugs*

I saw this on sos-dan.com without any comments so I don't know if this is fan-made or not.

Cool

Few things:

I have a bit of a collection myself However, I had a question. The latest Keychains I bought from eBay came with these ads and I was hoping someone could translate what it says next to the drawing of the "Tsuruya" keychain "Volume 2" part:
