Lightbulb Playback question for portable media player

I'm about to buy a Archos 604 player and the website says that this device can play: MPEG-4, Protected/WMV, MPEG-4 AAC/H.264 (.MP4 QuickTime files), MPEG-2, and VOB videos. I was wondering if I will be able to play most if not all anime that I download from this site on that player with those codecs or not.

I'm not sure if I posted this question at the correct section, forgive me if i didnt and thankyou for the help!

That player will most likely choke on MKV (Matroska) files. It may also have trouble with MP4 files, as the MP4 standard is kind of large. For example even QuickTime can't play most of the MP4 files created by fansub groups.

Plain XviD files will probably work though.
