Need some help (IE ad stuff)

Right, first of all, sorry for this thread as this problem is probably going to be resolved quickly (I hope) and then it'll be useless.
Now, on to the problem.
Whenever I type in (example) www.animesuki.com it brings me to this site: http://www.smart-finder.biz/www.animesuki.com. I can still go to animesuki, but only by putting "http://" in front of it, everytime I want to go somewhere. It is annoying as hell.
I've already tried Ad-Aware, and removing all the stuff I don't need and stuff like that, but to no avail. I'm getting sick of it, and I hope someone can help me.
Oh, and I'm using IE 6, if that's something you might need to know...

I don't think he asked for a new browser, but a way to fix his problem under IE6.0.

Try running SpyBot Search and Destroy. It's basically the same as Adaware but the two programs pick up different things most of the time.

If I help him get rid of that problem under IE6...it will be back up again, since any script kiddie can add stuff like that to IE. That's why I suggested permenent solution for this issue. It's up to him if he wants to "enjoy" pop-ups and javascripts/activeX adware.

I suggest FireBird instead of mozilla. mozilla is bit heavy on resources (same as opera). Also there are plenty of extensions for FB which will give you any function u need.

I'm running ie with no problems, but i'm ofcourse also using an ad blocker and firewall. As long as you know what you install and don't click "ok" in every dialog that pops up, you should be relatively safe.. err.. Oh ,and always check your security settings in IE.

Some pages on the net are ie compatibel.. and ONLY ie compatible. The downside of witching browsers is that some pages will probably fail. Not the browsers fault though. It's MS fault.

go look in "Main" under

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Sofware/Microsoft/Internet Explorer"

and

"HKEY_Current_User/Sofware/Microsoft/Internet Explorer"

in the registry and reset the values that have anything to do with the search thing.
