When she twirls, all the energy comes from her elbows and wrists. When she drops her weapon, she uses gravity. Neither move looks particularly powerful to me.
Let's be frank. Considering how long swords and armors have been around, not to mention all the other weapons, if it'd been in any way practical, people would have used double bladed swords like those. It's not like it's particularly hard to come up with. |

Three words: conservation of energy.
It doesn't matter how much leverage she's got. The energy that'll punch through her opponent's armor is the energy she puts in. In fact, that short hilt for such a long, heavy weapon just means she can't use her strength effectively. |
