i know it is not really naruto but here it goes i don't speake japenese and i got into a got into fight with my buddy what does the kun stuff mean nii chan chan that kind

then if narutos second element is water, wouldnt this be an disadvantage to naruto against sasuka lightning element?

we all know lightning static electricity and water dont go along well unless you wanna see a fry eletricuted demon fox for dinner...

well.
it's different endings you use when you talk to someone and says theire names.
example:

naruto-kun
Hinata-chan
Sakura-san

though I'm not really sure but the different endings is decided by the persons sex, age and how much respect you have for that person.

as I said I'm not really sure about this..but a got a little idea of how it works.

I have heard it before, and I also checked at wikipedia to verify that: for some cases, -kun can be used for females, although I don't know the conditions for that.

One case where I've seen -kun used for a girl is as an inferior in the workplace. Though I don't hear -kun used for a girl very often.

I looked at some of the character outfit threads...didn't see anyone mention it. Is it a lipstick? A magic marker? Is it functional or mearly decorative?

No idea, but my guess would be it was a writing decision... As in they thought they could time it better for throwing it into the story... kinda like how they choose to open up the series with a quick peak at sasuke's return

I think the odds are better that they're using the KG material to make a movie in the future, which would become a great success. It's a good idea imo.
