Or they should just make a movie from the Kakashi Gaiden...which will be released later on.

They would REAAALY have to stretch it and push to movie dimentions, I would think.
But I must say it's very tempting to buy to that chain of thought.

We haven't seen Kazuku die yet, and thoretcly his companion isn't capable of death.. dakara~
Spoiler for Theory:
Don't go into denial about Kakuzu, Cats.

That reminds me of a certain user who could not accept the death of Dosu.

Kakashi knows how to finish off his enemies (atleast when the guy is laying on the ground at his mercy).

But you may be right about Hidan. The guy was laughing like a pyschopath despite being decapitated and we have already seen one Akatsuki member survive from what appeared to be their certain death.

There is no indication that what Shikamaru did to him was capable of killing him when all else failed. Although that would somewhat take the wind out of Shika avenging Asuma's death.

"If we have gotten a hold of Itachi, this would'nt had happened, but that just a dream to wish for..... Because he is stronger than me...thats Why I left that Organization (akatsuki)".

It's not 'denial'
We are just missing a big old page filled from top to bottom with Kazu's corpse. That just doesn't go well with me.
But I'll just stick some faith in Kakashi on this one.

Well the theory that he wanted Itachi's body is not necessarily ruled out. He just has not said that explicity yet.

* Orochimaru told Kakashi that he "got what he wanted" (Sharingan) and that Oro wanted it as well, so we know that before he came back to Konoha he wanted Sharingan.

* We know that Itachi is stronger than Oro as it has been acknowledged in that scene and also by Sasuke that he is.

* We know that Orochimaru left the organization because Itachi, who he wanted to join him in the invasion of Konoha left the organization.

Wanting his body is the most likely reason. But I guess it is too hard to get the body of a strong-willed ninja who would kick your ass if you tried anything funny with him.

So it was better to settle with the revenge obsessed, emo Sasuke who could be easily influenced.

That would require common sense, which Sasuke blatantly lacks...

I don't think they would be able to make a full-length movie of the Kakashi Gaiden, considering that the manga story was only like about 6 chapters or so.

However, seeing as the Shippuden anime DID NOT start with the Kakashi Gaiden story, the animators could STILL introduce this somewhere within the series and not ruin continuity or such. Where you'd say?

Well, remember when Team 7 first goes to the Sand Village to help out in the search for Gaara and they first encounter Chiyo-ba-san? Chiyo-ba-san initially mistook Kakashi as the "White Fang" (Kakashi's father) and attacked.

In my opinion this would be a good place to introduce the Kakashi Gaiden, about 2-3 episodes, in order to explain the "White Fang", Kakashi's Sharingan, and his philosophy about teamwork.

There's no other place where it would be most logical to do so, I think.

I know this much, in a "final" (assuming he gets killed off) showdown vs. Deidara, his opponent will be Sai, because they're both specialists in artistic ninjitsu. One with ink, the other with clay. It seems only fitting that they end up facing-off against eachother. Sai will win obviously, and it will be his shining moment defeating an akatsuki member before he himself gets killed off eventually, though I don't want to see him leave the cast.

Mmm. Yeah I' agree.
IMO, Sai really adds color to the story, he's the non-liniar WTF-factor in the manga at the moment.
--------------------------------------------------------
We'll probably see Oro Vs. Jiraya as well.
I'm actually expecting a little side story for Oro & Jiraya sometime soo.
The story around Jiraya is a little too simplistic.. there has to be some sort of catch.

And of course there has to be a 4th Vs. Kyubi Arc.
But who knows when that will come.

Sai is my favourite character in Naruto. Then comes Naruto and Hidan.

Here´s a funny thing that just crossed my mind. Some people, mainly YF , theorized that the Akatsuki leader would be none other than the fourth.

Could it be since the fourth speaks in KG and the Akatsuki leader aswell speaks with Kakuzu/Hidan at one moment that they chose to not give us KG at once because it would spoil the leaders identity?

(Awfully bad speculation and I don´t believe it myself but I still want to share it. If I´m right it would be worth smiling about. )

I know but they still could do it....why?

Spoiler for possible scenes and time:

[about 30-50 minutes so far]

Spoiler for the rest of the story:

[about 50-70 minutes 2nd part]

Total atleast 80-120 minutes....that's the size of a movie it is possible...both the quality of the filler should be good though and focussed on the story...they could add alot of things to it...for example Yondaime (all remaining jounins still in the village...getting their mission)

Hm. Though I like the idea of a movie and I think the Kakashi Gaiden could work maybe as a short OAV 60-75 min, I agree with Shadow Clone in that I doubt it could carry a feature-length film. There's no main antagonist (all the enemies they face are pretty much just basic grunts) and the plot (blowing up a bridge) is very simple even if the main focus of the story is on Kakashi's childhood experiences. They'd have to add a lot of padding to the story and maybe re-work the plot a bit before making it a full movie

The next chapter is supposed to be about Oro's objectives so hopefully we learn what his next move is and what that means for Sasuke.
I have a hard time keeping up with the time that's passed in the manga. Exactly how long do they have until Oro takes Sasuke's body?

@ Last

Don't want to hijack the thread in that direction, but..
The reason, story wise, why the 4th can't be the Akatsuki leader is because, if we were to presume he was and consider that eventually he met with Team <Something> from Konoha, what then?!.. such a situation is basically a mute point for the story and will only lead to emo-fests from charcters and plot holes everywere, twisting the story into a abyss of revelations.

Consider that and that it would essentially mark the 4th as the ultimate villain. What most likely the Naruto series has been very gracefully avoiding till now is super villains, and the mangakka has a great deal of motivation to do so, as such things only make a series a personal 1 Vs. 1 subjective battle. Perhaps gold in the contest of series like Death Note, perhaps total garbage if it were to happen here. Most damagging of all it is likely to undermind the struggle that has been build around Naruto since Ep 1.

@ Kyu

I'm guessing a month, 1.5 in an extreme scenario.
Since they Naruto came back the ET on the count-down should have been 6 months.
BTW aren't you quoting Jay there ^__^

I know this isn't directed at me, but I'd just like to state that there is really no reason that a dead character can't be bought back as a villain even if seems like it would defy logic and take the story in a bad direction. In fact,
Spoiler:
. Also, Naruto doesn't avoid supervillains. Orochimaru is the very definition of a supervillain. All the Akatsuki we've seen so far easily fall into the supervillain category.

My bad. I orginally saw the comment on your post but you didn't use quote tags so there was a mix up. Anyways, If there is really only 1.5 months left then the next arc should begin to shift focus back to rescuing Sasuke again. But even that seems kind of abrupt. Maybe they'll begin by introducing another jinchuuriki/bijuu again like they did with Yugito. I kind of hope that at least one other jinchuuriki besides Naruto and Gaara gets a bigger role in the story.

The last thing we need is for them to pull the "introduce a jinchuriki and immediately kill them off" thing again... once is enough

i dont know why, but i feel like Sasuke will die sometime in the future.... and his death will motivate Naruto to destroy Akatsuki.
