Darn, I was planning on taking over the world in 2037. Well, I guess that's a bust.

This one is interesting:

If you had followed the international news, you might have heard that, two important murders took place in Turkey (a Christian priest, and an Armenian-origined Turkish writer) at different times, recently.

After the examination of the most recent one's weapon, and a further investigation of the previous one, it has been found that the guns originally belonged to the United States government, and they were part of the weapons that were sent to Iraq, and stored there to be used later on by the Iraq Government, after the peace has established.

Interesting, isn't it, how the weapons (Glock), so miraculously reached the illegal hands in Turkey...And, the US Government has "just" learned the news from Turkey, after hundreds of thousands of weapons (around 720 thousand) got "escaped" their storage rooms. No wonder, the mess gets messier each passing day in Iraq.

Turkey is a doorway to the west . IMO via smuggling they found their way into Turkey to be distributed to buyer's in Europe . And people from Middle east are too happy to use their Chinese/Russian Ak 47s also it would be very unethical for them to conduct Jihad with our weapons

Heh, heh, as if they would care the ethics, after what they are doing almost every day. Still, good joke. (edit: btw, I am saying this, because, I am coming from a country, whose Prime Minister's most famous words are "democracy is not a goal, but a tool (in achieving their main goal of jihad)")

Anyway, the main point I was trying to make, is mainly the guns can be currently anywhere, no control whatsoever, pointing at anyone, including the US soldiers in Iraq. That was really very irresponsible of them...

And that is just the weapon part. Another part of that is the missing billions of dollars (around 10 billion), who knows who has all that money using for what...

Meh, as far as I've seen in history, ethics is optional when it comes to war. If someone shoots you from behind, you aren't going to say, "Hey, you cheated!" You won't because you will be dead.

After all, violence only begets violence. I still find it strange that people always figure that killing will stop all the killing. That only works if every single person on the enemies' side dies. Otherwise, it only puts a temporary damper on the war. Tensions (social/economic/religious) will inevitably start more fighting.

Robotic age poses ethical dilemma
Quote:
An ethical code to prevent humans abusing robots, and vice versa, is being drawn up by South Korea.
How do I abuse a robot?

Like that article says, Isaac Asimov created the three laws of robotics back in 1942:

- A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
- A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
- A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law

I have to admit, this robot charta is really silly. If they at least used the term artificial intelligence. Yet they used the term robot... (how silly is that... if this ever comes true... industry robots may start to strike the next day, and demand more freetime. Not always hard or stupidly repetitive labor... imagine that)

Don't they know only to invent things that can't outsmart or out evolve us? The same goes with human. Only create a robot with enough intelligence to do the work and not enough to complain about it.

Why do you think people want robot wifes in the first place? 1) To cut the crap that you have to take from the real ones.
