How to verify that ports required by Bittorrent are open ?????

Hi !

I believe I have forwarded ports in the range 6881-6999 in my router.

Is there a way I can confirm this in my Bittorrent client. I am using Torrent Storm ???

Also what does the green light (LED) mean ?

Do I need alot of remote connections (R) or local connections (L) for good download speeds ???

Thanx in advance

Well, if it's anything like the Shadow client, the green light means port forwarding is working. Those are the R connections.

The number of connections of type L or R means very little. But by accepting those connections, you allow a wider range of users to connect to you which is a good thing.
