Lightbulb RSS/XML feed or Manual update?

Hello out there,

I'm curious in how you currently get your latest torrent information!

XML/RSS or manual look-up?

Please post also why you did choose that option
and if you use XML/RSS what client/feed-reader you use.

Regards, schadowfox

You know you don't need to look at latest torrent information.
You can just make it so it will auto-load torrents and download em' for you.

I use a manual update (cause I like seeing info that is posted on the front page and have yet to find an rss reader I like yet), but I have written a greasemonkey script which highlights all the torrents that have been added since I last visited.

How? uTorrent's RSS capability doesn't have a function that will let you select a particular group's releases, and Animesuki doesn't have a user-customisable RSS feed in the same way that, say, eztvefnet does.

after some non-public beta testing the public-beta testign starts :-)

so go register or if already login and create your customized-feed.

Here two screenshots on how it would look like in a feed reader

The Default RSS Page of AnimeSuki.com without cFeed (no filter or special tags)

The customized RSS from AnimeSuki.com

Thats the easy way of customized RSS feeds

@ SCHADOWFOX

No, uhh.. why do you ask?

@ Danj

Azureus has.
Well sorta~ I guess plug-ins count too. :P

I'm not familiar with uTorrent's RSS, but if it works like I think it does you should be able to seperate by group by just adding the groups secred id. (the one you see in brackets on torrents)

if it hits every 15 mins the website, I don't think there should be any problems at all.

well if you only watch 2-3 series and always get the latest release you can mark the release date if its released at a steady pace, but if not I wonder how you can be faster then using an rss-feed what gets updated every 15 mins?
