Internet DC's every minute

I'm really having an annoying problem Azureus shows that im firewalled but when I open 6881-6999 my internet disconnects and reconnects every few minutes whenever I have Azureus running. If I turn Azureus off the disconnects stop so it's only whenever i'm running it. Am I missing something do any other programs use those ports and maybe that's the cause of disconnects? I have a linksys router and erm heres the ports I have opened.

Try setting a port range in the 10000-60000 range; many ISPs filter traffic on the "official" BitTorrent ports like 6881-6889.

well, i have the same issue where i would get DC every minute. However, i use Utorrent. The way i fixed was disabling DHT network and disabling DHT for new torrents. If i remember correctly, DHT will tries to connect to the peers if the tracker is down. For whatever reason, it create alot of traffic that crashes my modem and router. After i disable those 2, my utorrent have been running flawless. I think AZ have DHT enable default too.

Hmmm, that's interesting, I may try it on my plumber's nightmare set up and see if that smooths the connection spikes.
