The characters are from the Touhou series, but I don't know which artist drew that.

Edit: (I'll forward you the PM with the details and a few example images.)
If you wanted info on the artist or the src of the image you might ask Haohmaru (the original poster).

Assuming you are talking about this one:

I might have a starting point for you:

Ask shinichi88 by PM, hes the one that created the banner for the Winter 2006-07 Banner contest

Thatís just a bit of investigation and deductive reasoning. Chances are someone here recognizes this character anyway.

I don't mean to be rude (only helpful), but when you ask people for help, the easier you make it for them... the more likely/quickly you are get an answer. ie. refreshing the page so you can provide the image ^_^
(Again, its not that big of a deal, but it greatly improves your chances)

Help remembering an Anime title

Hi, if you could help me out i'd appreciate it.

If I remember correctly it was about a detective who received a message asking for him to watch a certain apartment room. In the apartment there's a middle aged guy and a little girl. I think the girl had some kind of powers (she turned an airplane into a fish i think). Well in the end ( we're getting into spoiler territory now) the detective discovers that the person who had messaged him was in fact the man inside the apartment. It turns out that the middle aged man used to be a detective himself and had actually been assigned to watch the same apartment which he now lived in.

I think it was a short film, not a feature length film. Oh and i've got a screen cap too.

I found this screen cap in a folder and couldn't remember where it came from, haha.

Questions like this needs to be posted in the Anime Identification thread.
It's on a sticky, so it should be one of the first three threads at the top you see.

Anyways, to answer your question, it's Oshii Mamoru's Twilight Q Episode 2 Meikyuu Bukken File538. (Labyrinth case file 538)
OVA series from the late 80s.

the robot can be upgraded with special parts

the last episode I remeber is where they boy takes on a challenge from a black robot controlled by another kid in a junk yard

I think the name of the anime in japanese translates literally as white gold warrior or something, I am not sure

Does anybody know the name of this anime or where I can get more info about it

Thanks

and mine:
The theme is fighting robots. They controlled by computers. Controllers could be children or adults. They controll the robots with laptop looking computers. The arena could be open streets or a lunapark. The child we focused on is young one and in one of the fights he lost the sight of his robot. And there was a band over his wrist. White something nothing special. But his grandfather or father gave this to him. In that moment he has no chance then something strange happenned this bracelet glowed and he has telepathically communicate with the robot. He think the attack robot did.
It was amazing. It might be series. I am not good with names and places. I am sorry i can't remember a thing. Can you call what that anime could be? 10 years old maybe...

I think they are the same. I used search and find the post above. Funny thing is it's at the same page(23) with my last search post in this forum. More than two years. WOW.(I wonder if it was me make hoks wonder it. 1980's) The answer for it was Gold Raiten but it is not the one i am looking for. These robots are small like 60 cm controlled by laptops till the telepathy method. It's like modern.

I am 23. I get old, i remember 1980's as ten years ago.
