Position: Translator, Translation Checker
Project: Tales of Symphonia
Contact: Speak with Blues on IRC or use aforementioned email addy.
Short description: A translator who knows the language, is dependable in delivering scripts and communicating, won't go MIA and most importantly is motivated.
Judging by the game and the trailers, this will be a great OVA. We have an enthusiastic crew and a good translator available for the project, but are currently looking for a second translator (to help out by providing 2nd opinions in tough spots and possibly alternate TL and TL-check duties) for this series which will be starting in June. Our requirements are simple:
- Sufficient confidence in your grasp of the Japanese language. (English)
- Time/Dedication to translate(check) supplied raws fairly quickly, the airing schedule for this series is very relaxed indeed, so there is no continuous pressure but we'd like you to be present at those moments it counts i.e. around the airing dates.
- Willingness to communicate with our editors on IRC.
- Motivation/enthusiasm for this project. People who enjoy what they are doing will deliver good work. It is our intention to deliver quality, liking the series (or otherwise being VERY motivated by an external factor) is essential to ensuring said quality is upheld.
- Familiarity with the game would be nice though by no means required. This is a project-specific TL-request in hopes of finding a translator who totally loves Tales of Symphonia. We expect you to finish the project, but there will be no expectation/pressure for you to stick around with the group for anything else. All the fun, but none of the hassle and responsibility, kinda like a one-night-stand. ;-)
P.S. Karaoke Stylers/Scripters interested in joining our group (permanently or just for this series) are very welcome too.

We are currently seeking Karaoke Artists for our upcoming project, Romeo x Juliet as well as for other current and future projects. Either AFX or .ass is fine as long as they are creative and look good. We are also seeking someone who is proficient with Adobe AFX. And finally we are also looking for an extra typesetter as our current one is carrying the bulk of the load and would like some help. Some fansubbing experience is preferred but not required. PM either of the people listed above in our main chan, email us at the address above, or PM me here. Thanks

Position(s): Japanese to English Translator and/or Translation Assistant, Editor.
Project: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
IRC Channel: #Black-Order @ irc.rizon.net
IRC Contact: kip or Code-
Other details you might want to know if you're interested:
We are something of a new group, we've been subbing D.Gray-man up until now and we'd really like to pickup Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann this season... purely because it ROCKS HARD. We're ideally looking for a TL that enjoys whacky anime... all you really need to think of is "Gainax"; failing that... think of FLCL + Gunbuster 2 + Abenobashi combined into one anime!
If you are a TL or TL assistant that doesn't have that much time to spend each week on a full translation, how about filling blanks? We have people in our group capable of producing a translated and timed script somewhere to the figure of 90%-100% complete. On those occassions where we hit a rock, your help could be valuable! This is a perfect opportunity for translators that want to get involved in fansubbing but find joining a bigger group too daunting!
For editor position... well, we already have an editor for our current project (D.Gray-man)... unless we are able to secure a translator for the new project, the position will default to "Backup Editor".
Thanks for reading, look forward to hearing from you!

Seeker of Power
This may be our last cry for help for a bit. We thought (read: hoped, prayed, animal sacrifices) maybe a TL would see an interesting raw episode and be willing to help.
Group: Formula Sub
Position/s: Japanese to English Translator, XDCC Bot provider/BT superseeders, Typesetter
Project: pretty much anything romance or drama
Contact: PM me here, or on IRC get a hold of Merines or martino, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
It'd be so very nice to have a TL for a new project rather than leaning on other groups in joints. The TL would not be tied down to the group after the series is done. We've had a couple releases now, so people might know that we aim for high quality. There's a WHOLE lot of good-looking anime coming out this spring, and we'd love to work on something that isn't going to be oversubbed.

Group Name: Otacon Fansubs
Positions Needed: 1 or 2 translators, timers, encoders, and a raw provider,
...for Projects: Code Geass, Gintama and Dark than Black.
-- irc: #firstname.lastname@example.org
-- e-mail: email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org
-- msn: email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org
-- aim: Nicol Armarfi
Otacon is looking for a translator, a raw provider, and timers, to help us with our current projects (Code Geass, Gintama) and our upcoming project (Darker than Black).
Anyone willing to commit an amount of their time to helping us is welcome; translator's must have atleast decent knowledge of the Japanese and English languages, and must be willing to translate atleast 1 episode a week. Timer's may be provided with training if necessary, though veteran timer's are preffered.
Raw providers must keep up to date with the raws, as they're the base step of our ability to sub. A RAW provider must be willing to provide atleast 1 RAW a week.
Once again, anyone is welcome. We are currently in a bit of a burnout situation, and would appreciate any help we can get to help lighten the load's on our backs.
Also, note that the three above jobs are the most crucial at this point, but if anyone else would like to volunteer to encode, edit etc. any of our releases, we'd gladly appreciate the help.
Thanks in advance,

Kaninona is currently looking for a Timer. You should know the basics of timing and have some endurance on this job. We aim for one 24 minutes release per week. This means you need to time about 350 lines, once per week on a regular schedule.
