*Yagami Light!!! He's the smartest human in the whole world! I really love his way of investigating. I'm not a KIRA fan though but I like him investigating side-by-side with L.*

L would have to be my number 1 favorite character in this series, the whole way he acts and thinks is pretty awesome. Others would be Ryuk, Namikawa, Aiber, Wedy, Matsuda, Mello, Near, and Aizawa...well, I mainly only found Aizawa an interesting character during volumes 10-12 of the manga...other than that he was kinda boring, with the exception of maybe volume 9 too...and to add one more favorite caracter for a top 10 character list, I would add Gevanni, the guy that worked for Near in the SPK, he probably had the most character depth in volume 11, but I liked his character. Light, Raye, Matt, Mogi, Soichuro, and Shimura would be other faves too...but outside a top 10 list though probably.

L gets my vote because he's such a cool and calm character.He is so sharp and i love it how straight forward he is "i am L","i suspect you as kira"

and he's places his life on the line just to catch kira/light but sadly he could'nt do it

the greatest character in DN has left us

voted both Raito and L.

Raito 'cause he's the main character, AND he's "evil". also he's a friggin' genius, perfect student, successful with the ladies... you gotta love the man.

althought I find Raito more inteligent than L, my fave char is L. he's weird, and is always eating candies. also, I prefer blue than red.

Starting to wish I could un-vote. Going back over the series, doing character analysis, and just re-thinking the whole thing.....L is most certainly not a favorite of mine. Dont get me wrong!!! I don't dislike him at all; he's just not a favorite. XD And he's just such a jerk, in his own subtle way.....ah, well.
