There's no way you could end it in 1 book....The story was nice....everyone was just starting to get some character development....yup, the ending is gonna be horrible.
There goes one of the manga i enjoyed ending up junked again....

Everyone keeps saying "book." It's ending in 1 chapter from the way things sound. There is no possible way for Peach-Pit to close the story in a single chapter. Impossible. It has to continue in some other imprint. >.>

I also agree on that. Besides the fact that there is nothing announced in Peach-Pit official page, I don't think that they will let it go to waste. I would say rather, any idea of what is going to happen to the third season? Even if the anime is not based on the manga, Peach-Pit had the original plot after all.

Hmm. Even if they have issues with the manga's name (even if Birz drops them, they still might have issues if a "new" manga named Rozen Maiden comes out in another imprint), the anime is not really connected to the magazine at all. Wishful thinking, though, if I think they would throw their full support behind S3.

My best, uneducated guess would be this: they give the manga a "soft" end (meaning, one with no resolution or actual end), lay low for a while and endure the fan's obsessive outcries, then reappear like the Phoenix, in one way or another. :dunno:

Or just end this in a horrible way next chapter, with no season 3, leaving the fan mourning on this awesome anime for years I'm ready for for the worst, stuff I like always end that way for random reasons (last one being Xenosaga series ._.).

Well, Xenosaga at least had a decent ending, even if XSII was relatively crappy and the storyline of both II and III were obviously squished down/modified. But that's another discussion.

Yeah, but knowing it was suposed to be 6 episodes instead of 3 make me cry, and the ending leave a lot of question unanswered. I don't want to see something similar happen with Rozen Maiden...I want to read the story the author originally intended to write, not something that was cut down for random reasons. Either way, we are kinda powerless and will have to take what we get

Well, the XS team knew after the first game sold poorly that their plans were FUBAR'd and had time to change 75% of the storyline. Short of killing 1 character per page and declaring "X-doll" Alice on the last page, Peach-Pit cannot finish the story in 20-30 pages. It's impossible to do so from where the last chapter left off.

I expect the story to go on "hiatus" for a while and return. <- official prediction

On average, I say 4 to 5 chapters.
